Come on guys, I love your pies. You have great dough, cheese, and sauce. Please stop burning the bottom of the pie.
So we revisited after not eating there for a few years. Let’s be clear here, it was mediocre and very disappointing!
It seems as though new people took over. It’s obvious.
As soon as we walked in, the furniture was confusing. I didn’t know if I was in a pizza joint, an Asian restaurant or a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant.
After my major brain freeze of remembering where I was at, we ordered a pizza, mozzarella sticks, garlic knots and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
Let’s start off with the pizza… it was tasteless ? And the bottom was black . Didn’t taste at all like how it used to. My partner stated it tasted like charcoal. It’s extremely hard to explain how their pizza USED to taste, but it was absolutely perfect . She was not impressed .
The mozerella sticks ? Ehh, they weren’t that great . The mozerella sticks weren’t made anything like how they used to be .
The garlic knots sucked to be frank . No taste, they used to be extreme buttery balls, topped with fresh Parmesan, not anymore .
The Philly ? Listen, I love a good Philly . It was a damn joke . This used to be my favorite spot for the cheesesteak sandwich. Oh and the fries, they were disgusting with whatever seasoning they happen to be using . So after this monstrosity of taste testing, it happened to be a waste of $80 . Won’t be back .
We stopped in while at work. I forget the name of our server but she was awesome. Great service, kept our drinks filled, and chatted about menu suggestions.
I was not sure what to get and landed on the Anything But Ordinary Antipasto Salad, and it was a win for sure. The picture posted just doesn’t do it justice. I also got a small pizza with no sauce and extra cheese to be like cheese bread. The other person with me got pizza. It was all tasty.
Skip the chain pizza places and go support these folks.
Only major complaint is that you can’t see the name of the restaurant from the street, or even the parking lot. The giant sign over the entrance tells what the sell, but not who they are. Makes it a little confusing when you are meeting someone there and you have never been.
All in all, an ok experience. I would like to go back and try some of the more involved recipes like Antipasto Salad or the dinner entrees.
