First time trying Villa Nova Pizza and it was a hit! We ordered a small Hawaiian and a large sausage pizza the sauce was super flavorful, the crust was tasty and crispy, and the sausage pieces were big and delicious. Definitely coming back to try their pizza slices next time & order more items on their menu

Great pizza, rude staff. Called in to order a pizza and lady picked up. Told me they weren’t taking any orders. I asked what time they closed and she hung up me. If you’re not taking orders and are closed why are you picking up the phone? Really makes it hard to support your local pizza instead of going to paisans sugar pizza. Work on your customer service guys, no need to be rude. Ended up going to Obbies pizza. Another great local joint.

I’ve only had their pizza & fries, and the pizza is made very well, I prefer it over all other pizza places in the area. The restaurant itself is only pick up or delivery, no dine in. Overall the atmosphere looks like it hasn’t had a cleaning in decades. There’s obvious repairs that need to be done and equipment that needs to be replaced. I’m not sure how it passes inspections. I’m just stating the obvious. The place looks like it’s been falling apart for awhile now and nothing is being done about it. Which is unfortunate since the food itself is really good.

After this pizza parlor changed hands, even though they still possessed the same pizza recipe, they have been a big disappointment. The toppings are so skimpy you can barely find them and the crust is always soggy. To make things worse, we never received our last pizza, and when we complained, nothing was done about it. We cancelled the order and vowed not to order from them again…and this used to be our favorite pizza!! Wake up Villa Nova!! You’re a shadow of your former self!

I have been wanting to try Villa Nova pizza for a few years. They first came to my attention, when they were featured on Chicago’s best. I’m originally from Chicago, but live in California now, and haven’t had a chance to try them. I finally got a chance to try them on my current visit home. Let me tell you, this pizza was delicious. There was a place my dad use to get pizza from, called “Ray’s pizza” on the Southside, and I have been chasing that taste for years. I finally found it at villa nova pizza. The ingredients, crust, and taste were top notch. I went to the location in Stickney. The staff was friendly and looked like they were having a great time. The only disappointment I had was that they don’t have dine in at this time. I whole heartedly recommend Villa Nova and look forward to trying it again. Oh,have to shout out their sausage. Go, what are you waiting for?

One of the best tavern styles in the city, neck and neck with Vito and nicks. For toppings the sausage is the star of the show… perfectly spaced per piece, satisfyingly large meaning every slice is it’s own little meal, and just the right amount of fennel. Ordering well done is recommended if you like the wafer thin crust crispy, which I definitely do. I was worried when the place fell under new ownership and I feel like it was hit or miss for a bit in the immediate aftermath, but it seems to consistently be back to its former glory. Not much else to say. If you’re a fan of the style you either already know of this place or definitely should, because theres nowhere else for miles that comes close. Pro tip, but also reheats great in a toaster oven.

One of the best pizza places! The sausages were so big and there were plenty of them. I love the marinara sauce not sweet, perfect!

Placed a pick up order for a pineapple and Canadian bacon tavern. It was delicious. Doesn’t look like a place to eat at. Just order your food and enjoy it at home.

This is take-out only, so not sure there should be any reviews with 1 or 5 stars for atmosphere, see my photo.
Exceptional tavern-style pizza, but I would just stick to their famous sausage because it’s unique. The others we tried – Supreme and Pepperoni were average, and the Margherita is more like an appetizer pizza – think of garlic bread with thinly sliced tomatoes and cheese.

My family has been going to Villa Nova since they opened. I cannot find a better pizza anywhere, and I can think of only 2 other places that can even try to compare. One is in Wisconsin and the other in Brooklyn. My go to is always Sausage, mushroom, onion and green peppers. They use canned or fresh mushrooms depending on your preference. The canned mushrooms make it taste perfect. The crust is nice and crunchy and is not bland. The cheese blend has a perfect consistency. Always ask for your pizza to be well done.
