Christian was our server and he is a delightful young man. He is professional but personable, very courteous and respectful, prompt in providing our water and taking our order. Christian always asks if there is anything else we need. We ordered the Molcajete and it was delicious. You can’t go wrong whatever you order.

We stopped for lunch at this restaurant, but the food is far from authentic Mexican cuisine. The dishes are often overpriced and cheaply prepared, lacking in fresh ingredients and proper flavor. They offer very few healthy options, which was disappointing. Drinks are excessively expensive, with cocktails and soft drinks costing more than expected. The service was underwhelming; when we entered, the receptionist rolled her eyes because someone had sent her to take our order, showing a lack of professionalism. Additionally, they do not refill chips unless you explicitly ask for them, which seemed to be an inconvenience.

Have eaten here for lunch and dinner many times. Never has there been anything less than a good or great meal. The food has always been really good, the service has always been great, and the prices are affordable and well worth it. Highly recommend Villa Del Rey!!
My first and last review of this place was two years ago. Since then I have been here several times and it has gone downhill so badly that I do not want to go back!! My last visit my margarita tasted like a popsicle and my wife’s cranberry vodka drink did not even have ice in it!! I ordered a simple chicken quesadilla like usual for lunch and nearly every time lately it comes so soggy it is almost inedible!! The service was quick but not super friendly!! We were totally turned off by this place and have no desire to go back.

Nice small Mexican restaurant that doesn’t skimp on portions, or food quality. Good service and good good can be found here. They were packed full on a Sunday night, so I’m sure they’re consistently busy. Carne Asada was served smoking hot, sbr the civeche was ice cold! Nachos were fantastic with all the toppings. Definitely stop in and see what they’re about. They will not disappoint.

Solid food. Everything we had was really good. I had grilled chicken with shrimp and I really enjoyed it. The salsa was really good too. I would recommend and will most likely go back when we’re in that area.

By far one of the best Mexican restaurants in all of West Mobile. It gives off a bit of a TexMex vibe while offering authenticity in their foods. Their tacos are one of the best things on their menu although there isn’t a bad menu item. Their drinks are strong and their pitchers are worth it for how much they give you.
