Villa Artigiano Ristorante exceeded expectations in every meaningful way. From the moment we were seated, the service set the tone—efficient without feeling rushed, attentive without hovering, and genuinely warm throughout the evening.

We began with the arancini: crisp, golden Italian rice balls, expertly fried and generously filled with tender veal and molten mozzarella. They arrived hot, well-seasoned, and immediately signaled that the kitchen takes tradition seriously.
For entrées, my wife chose the lobster ravioli, bathed in a silky brandy tomato cream sauce that balanced richness with restraint. The pasta was delicate, the lobster flavorful, and the sauce indulgent without overpowering the dish. I opted for the tagliatelle alla Bolognese—wide ribbons of pasta coated in a deeply satisfying, house-made meat sauce that tasted slow-cooked and authentic, the kind of dish that reminds you why classics endure.

Dessert was a shared tiramisu, light yet decadent, with layers that struck just the right harmony of coffee, cream, and cocoa. It paired perfectly with her freshly brewed coffee and my double shot of espresso, which was bold, smooth, and a fitting finale to the meal.

From start to finish, Villa Artigiano delivered an exceptional dining experience rooted in quality, care, and classic Italian execution. Highly recommended for anyone seeking thoughtfully prepared food and gracious service

This is mostly a five-star rating, food is delicious, waitstaff is wonderful, atmosphere is lively and comfortable. The dining room is spacious, which is very nice, you have room and the tables are spread out. The only disappointment was the portion size. I think the portions are rather skimpy. The Caesar salad was good but small. My husband’s Linguine Pescatore was good, but nothing special, it was fresh but middle- of-the-road. I love the fact that they only use OLIVE OIL! No industrial, nasty seed oils here, kudos to that! The bread is also delicious!
Superior waitstaff. We will be back but order differently perhaps.

This BYOB small dining experience is great! You will not find a better varied menu nor in-house menu items prepared daily! The fresh Calamari appetizer was the best i have had since Seattle, flavorful and great presentation. Our main courses were just as satisfying! Recommend reservations but depending on weekdays they may accommodate walk-ins. We will be back

– Villa Artigiano – Ardmore – First time going here last night. It was a packed place. Our group got the grilled artichoke, veal with a wine butter sauce and sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke, house-made arugula pasta with scallops and shrimp, caramel ice-cream and tiramisu. Every bite was absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and timely and our server explained the many specials very articulately.
So many great options and not just your cliche chicken parmesean or spaghetti and meatballs. Seemed to have lots of regional Italian specialties. It’s on Lancaster Ave and behind the restaurant is a nice big parking lot.
The only negative was it was very hard to hear since it was so packed and loud … I know that is an issue for some folks in choosing a place. Overall, a great meal!

Place is always packed so make a reservation – not sure why so few google reviews tho. I’ll add one. Burrata was interesting, lil umami from the eggplant caponata. Caesar salad was lacking and basic (perhaps some shaved Parmesan?). My entree was great, 2 lobster tails in the arrabiata sauce. Finally, somewhat dry Tiramisu was quite mid. Overall 3.6 stars, rounded up to 4.

This is from a visit a few months ago. We went there for a birthday. 8 in our group. We sat in the front room. We were the only table in that area. It was awesome. From start to finish it was one of the best restaurants we had been to in a long time.
The food was awesome. The service was awesome. I’d probbaly go back more often if the name was easier to remember! We can never think of the name. Always have to say “the Italian place in Ardmore where the french place used to be”. Now that i’m finally doing the review, I will have to go back soon.

Me and the lady have been there about half a dozen times and all have been very pleasant.. little bit of an older crowd but that’s to be expected. Always amazing specials! Really feels like a nice little fine dining experience for two people under or around 100 dollars. Please go!
