The place was empty aside from us and it seems the same lady at the front is the one cooking and serving. I really don’t think I will be coming back here. I have better places for banh mi and pho that I go to.
The chicken fried rice had too much grizzle, not refreshing or yummy at all. The Vietnamese coffee was way too strong seems like they didn’t make it right.
This place is a mess! They serve ice for your drinks out of a cooler sitting next to the checkout stand, which is really unhygienic. The drinks to the fridge are all scattered and stacked in there sams club boxes around when you walk in, and the walls next to the tables are covered in soy sauce stains. It’s pretty gross, and honestly, this place looks like a health inspector’s dream for shutting down. It clearly doesn’t meet basic cleanliness standards.
To make matters worse, I’m pretty sure the food made us sick because we didn’t feel great after eating here. I won’t be coming back. Go see how gross this place is inside for yourself, don’t be fooled!
Spring rolls were delicious.
I don’t eat meat on Fridays, so got the shrimp bahn mi and my friend got the tofu bahn mi.
The shrimp were large and tasted so fresh and really good. I have only had beef or pork bahn mis, so this was a delicious twist.
Very small and intimate setting. Might have to wait for a table, if super busy.
Egg rolls: not the best I have had. I only got one leaf of lettuce. I would not order these again.
Banh Mi: They we’re generous with the chicken. It was too salty for my taste.
The tea was really good. I would not order the same items again but I would try other items that they have on the menu.
You order and pay at the counter. If you pay by credit card you are asked how much you want to tip. I find this practice objectionable before you have even gotten your food. But it is common practice in the area.
I ordered a combination pho. There is only one size that’s equivalent to a medium or a large bowl. It had more brisket than I expected and was delicious. On the other hand, they are stingy with the bean sprouts and dandelion.
Overall this is a good bet and you won’t be disappointed.
