My husband really wanted to try this place so I agreed. Honestly, I wasn’t really impressed. I had the beef banh mi and it was just ok. The chicken fried rice was too… moist? Idk how to describe it but it wasn’t too good. I had only a few spoonfuls despite adding sriracha in an attempt to save it. The pho I did not personally taste but my husband said it was good.

The place was empty aside from us and it seems the same lady at the front is the one cooking and serving. I really don’t think I will be coming back here. I have better places for banh mi and pho that I go to.

I stopped into Viet Express after a doctor’s appointment down the road, hoping for a quick and tasty banh mi based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed.
The chicken fried rice had too much grizzle, not refreshing or yummy at all. The Vietnamese coffee was way too strong seems like they didn’t make it right.

This place is a mess! They serve ice for your drinks out of a cooler sitting next to the checkout stand, which is really unhygienic. The drinks to the fridge are all scattered and stacked in there sams club boxes around when you walk in, and the walls next to the tables are covered in soy sauce stains. It’s pretty gross, and honestly, this place looks like a health inspector’s dream for shutting down. It clearly doesn’t meet basic cleanliness standards.

To make matters worse, I’m pretty sure the food made us sick because we didn’t feel great after eating here. I won’t be coming back. Go see how gross this place is inside for yourself, don’t be fooled!

Will have to go back and try the pho when I have more time.
Spring rolls were delicious.
I don’t eat meat on Fridays, so got the shrimp bahn mi and my friend got the tofu bahn mi.
The shrimp were large and tasted so fresh and really good. I have only had beef or pork bahn mis, so this was a delicious twist.
Very small and intimate setting. Might have to wait for a table, if super busy.

I ordered a Thai Tea, chicken banh mi and an order of egg rolls. The staff was friendly and the order was to go, it might of been 10-15 minutes for the whole transaction and receiving my food. Great for my lunch break.

Egg rolls: not the best I have had. I only got one leaf of lettuce. I would not order these again.

Banh Mi: They we’re generous with the chicken. It was too salty for my taste.

The tea was really good. I would not order the same items again but I would try other items that they have on the menu.

With pho you either get it right or you don’t. Good pho starts with bone broth, onion and ginger and this place gets it right.

You order and pay at the counter. If you pay by credit card you are asked how much you want to tip. I find this practice objectionable before you have even gotten your food. But it is common practice in the area.

I ordered a combination pho. There is only one size that’s equivalent to a medium or a large bowl. It had more brisket than I expected and was delicious. On the other hand, they are stingy with the bean sprouts and dandelion.

Overall this is a good bet and you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for accommodating our group of 8! I’ve been here twice and both times the pho was DELICIOUS! I’d highly recommend trying the seafood and the combination pho. It’s a great spot for my coworkers and I to stop by for lunch. the prices are very affordable and reasonable (around $13 a bowl) ! I love pairing my meal with the coconut juice that they have in the fridge upfront. My colleagues like to drink the unsweetened green tea in the bottle and the soy milk by Yeo’s. I’m so thankful to have a Vietnamese pho shop like this around TMC area with these choices!

I got the tofu banh mi and a viet iced coffee and my partner got the chicken banh mi – both came out quick and were delicious! Ingredients were very fresh and service was great. Recommend for a casual, filling and successful dining experience.

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese cuisines! I love getting their BBQ Chicken Fried Rice dish as it is full of flavor But you couldn’t go wrong with their Bánh Mì either. The owners are very friendly and the atmosphere is very peaceful. A perfect spot for lunch if you work or live in the NRG Stadium area.

The portions are big! I forgot to take a picture of my pho with brisket but it was good. The broth could of had a little more flavor depth but overall I was happy with it. The Banh Mi was awesome. Bbq pork was tender with a nice caramelized sauce on it. Pickled veggies still had a nice crunch. The only thing I missed was a little mayo.

The food is mid at best. Save your self an unnecessary headache and go across the street to Pho 5. Also, the front lady is rude for no reason.
