Just came back from Ho Chi Minh Vietnam and let me tell you how much I craved fresh pate bánh mì and some feature dessert items. This place hit the spot. I will be back and highly recommend.

I would like to leave an honest review, but since I was already hangry after a long shift and the only thing I craved was a Bahn-mi sandwich, I’m not sure how honest this review will be. Unfortunately, most Vietnamese restaurants close very early in the Salt Lake area. I thought lucky me! There’s one place that is open late since I couldn’t make it anywhere else before 9 pm. The menu online looked good, and the drink options looked just as inviting. When I pulled up to the restaurant, I was confused as it looked empty, almost closed. The first red flag was that when I walked in, there was a young man at the front counter on his phone who seemed unaware and almost bothered by my presence. I thought perhaps I read the hours of operation incorrectly, so I asked him if they were still open, to which he sighed, “Yes..”. I had already looked over the menu, so I knew what I wanted to order. The young man proceeded to ask not once, but twice if I wanted a menu, which I replied twice, “No, I know what I would like to order”, he looked at me confused. I don’t think he understood English. Not a problem, lucky for both of us I speak Spanish, I proceeded to give him my order: one brown sugar boba, one lychee tea, a BBQ chicken Bahn-mi and one pork BBQ Bahn-mi, and an order of egg rolls. He let me know they didn’t have a lychee tea or peach tea. What a bummer, none the less I thought I’d take the rest of my order. When I got home, I realized no hot sauce. They must not carry sriracha in that restaurant. The boba was a treat for my little one, which I was told tasted more like maple syrup than anything else, and that’s coming from a kid. I got a sandwich for me and my wife, and the egg roll for my kid. The egg roll tasted odd, bland, and mostly had frying oil flavor. The pork Bahn-mi and the chicken Bahn-mi tasted EXACTLY the same. Either they did not marinate the meat long enough, or they just slap some diluted sauce over the top and grilled the meat. It did not taste like BBQ anything. I did, however, appreciate the authenticity of the liver paté, which was mild in flavor and what tasted as light butter on the Bahn-mi but still lacked when it came to the authentic veggies. The sandwich came with shredded iceberg lettuce, pickled carrots and daikon, and cucumber. The bread was soggy, which is just awful for a Bahn-mi. The bread should be light and super crispy, not cold, soft, and soggy. Also, the Bahn-mi came with fries. At least my kid ate that. The price on everything anywhere now a days is overpriced, but for the service and quality of food, I would not pay that again. Overall, I think this place is a solid 4, I hope they work on their recipes and at least have what is displayed on their menu.

Beef bahn mi is the nastiest thing I’ve ever tasted in my entire life, and I am NOT picky. Pretty sure they put Taco Bell beef in it that they found in a dumpster somewhere. Literally blended meat.

Got pho and a bbq pork banh mi to go and didn’t end up eating any of it because it was so gross. The pho tasted just like boxed broth, no flavor. The bread was stale and very dry. Ended up throwing away most of our food.

Came in with a buy one get one free Bahn MI sandwich. We ordered a BBQ Chicken and a Pork Bahn MI. Both were kinda bad cuts of meat. The pork was dry, and the chicken was fatty dark meat. Kinda disappointed. The best thing I can say is their Vietnamese Coffee was good.

We went here for dinner and were excited to try a new Bahn Mi sandwich place. The menu is simple, but has good options. I ordered the barbecue chicken and when it came out, I saw that it had paté on it. The menu board did not say that it came with it or I would’ve asked for it to be taken off as I don’t care for it. They remade both of our sandwiches, which was nice. The owner, Kevin, came out and was very apologetic and thanked us for pointing that out and said he would address it. He then gave us two free coffees on the house. The tiramisu and egg coffees were fantastic. It was the best Vietnamese coffee I’ve ever had. I was really impressed how Kevin made things right and you can tell he really cares about his business. He gained two new customers!

There is so much good Vietnamese food in Utah. This is not it. We got the pork bahn mi and a pork noodle bowl. Everything was almost cloyingly sweet and with very little flavor otherwise. I wish we had taken the empty restaurant as a warning and gone elsewhere.

Don’t waste your money. I spent $20 for a sandwich and a coffee and the sandwich was kind of garbage honestly and the coffee wasn’t even coffee, it was like mostly ice slushy with a little bit of really really sweet condensed milk. I also was served french fries but they didn’t have any ketchup.
The whole thing is a one-man show; so it’s a guy who takes your order and then he puts the bread in a little toaster and grabs some already prepared meat, puts it on there, kind of like subway does, and then hands it to you a few minutes later. So if you’re going for quality food, this is definitely not it! But if you’re going for expensive fast food, this might be your place.

So I’ve been here a few times. I read a couple of the reviews and some people are just idiots or just don’t understand food. I don’t know what it is about. Some people just leaving dumb reviews. They have some really good food. I’ve been here a few times now before I wrote a review. Their pho is pretty good. They have some unique coffees from Vietnam. It’s really good. The egg coffee cocoa is really good. They’re Vietnamese sandwich heard darn good too. It’s authentic with a little bit of fusion. I dig it. But overall everything is really good quality I think some people just have a set taste in their mind that it should be a certain way for them. Unfortunately, different foods different people make their food a little bit different. That’s what makes it unique and good. Give the place a try. Don’t give a dumb review.

Came on a Sunday for the Special Cracken Pork sandwich. They didn’t have it. Ordered a pork Banh Mi and a mango Yakult. The guy had no clue what a yakult was, and couldn’t find it on the register, so I had to settle for just a sandwich.

While making our food, the guy working there was calling someone to find out how to make it. Sandwich was bad, fries were just reheated frozen fries. Not worth your money, find somewhere else.
