As a Pho enthusiast, the experience was lovely. Authentic Hanoi style broth with more of a mild, fragrant flavour. If you love spice, request some more chilli on the side. Owner, Mr Kung is friendly and staff too. My partner and I will be back!

Absolutely loved our experience at this little Vietnamese gem in Somerset West! All the dishes we ordered were delightfully fragrant and full of flavour. The restaurant is simple, relaxed and welcoming, and the staff and owner are friendly and attentive. A great spot if you’re craving something wholesome, comforting, and different. Highly recommend trying their dumplings too. Looking forward to our next visit!

If you’d like to experience authentic Vietnamese food in Somerset West, this is the place. I’m from Vancouver, where there is an abundance of authentic Vietnamese immigrants and cuisine, and I felt like I was back home.

Sorry for not posting any food photos; I was busy enjoying my pho and spring rolls.

Vietnamese Pho in Strand is excellent! The pho here is outstanding—easily the best we’ve had since spending two months in Vietnam. Rich broth, fresh ingredients, and generous portions make it truly authentic. The restaurant is easy to find, simple to order from, and service is friendly and efficient. A must-visit spot for anyone craving real Vietnamese flavors in the Cape Town area!

Visited for lunch on a Monday. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly welcome. Sushi was really good and very good price. We had a Vietnamese prawn parcel starter and it tasted good too! Fresh food and good selection of soft drinks.

Super friendly and generous staff so kind and quick to help! The food was also so good no complaints just that I didnt get to try everything cause it was so delicious. Also almost no wait maybe 10 minutes at most and the food was hot and very fresh. Couldn’t have had a better experience it was also very warm and quiet on a chilly night.

It’s all about the sushi, right? A gem of a spot with delightful staff and even better food. First time visiting this little diner and we loved it. The sushi is 10/10. The chef unexpectedly treated us with 2 free additional portions to our order, and our waitress was discreetly attentive to our needs.
Not licensed, so take your own. Prices are very reasonable. Food exceptional. Decor simple.
Eat in or take-out. You won’t regret it.

Discovered this little authentic Vietnamese food cafe. Food definitely transported me back to Vietnam. It’s a casual space with limited seating but the food makes up for what lacks in atmosphere. Definitely returning to have the beef Pho and chicken spring rolls.

The best Pho I’ve had in Cape Town. The portions are great and the soup is tasty. My favourite menu is the Beef Soup (Pho). Their fried rice and stir fry is also great and not too salty. My mom is a vegetarian so I was worried there might not be food for her, but there were plenty of Vege menus too.
