If you love spicy broth and loads of veggies this has place offers the best Bue Bo Hue or spicy beef noodle soup imo! My partner and I we have our go to dish and I must admit I found myself often dig into the spicy prawns and bbq pork fried rice my better half ordered as well. They also offer various ranges of Vietnamese food.

I just have to say — this is the best restaurant in Hobart! It was my first time there, and everything was absolutely delicious. The wontons tasted just like the ones my grandma used to make, so comforting and full of flavor. What I love the most is that every dish tastes fresh, like the soup is made from real ingredients instead of being loaded with seasoning or MSG.

I’ve tried other Vietnamese restaurants before, but their soups were often too salty and made me super thirsty afterwards. Here, it’s totally different — the broth is light, rich, and perfectly balanced. It was such a cold day, but I happily finished every drop!

We ordered three main dishes and one entrée for two people, and we ate everything — even though we were so full! That’s how good it was. Definitely my favorite place now. ❤️

– Poor customer service: it’s easily seen that Asian customers need to self-serve while white customers will be treated with friendly greetings and table service. We and other Asian customers need to get the water ourselves, while white customers get immediate water as well as greetings as soon as they come in and after they’re sitting at the table (I still dont get served water after they get water, even though I’m sitting just next to and maybe because they’re regular customers/reserved-table customers so they get different service?).

– The soup is overpowered by the Hoisin Sauce (for Beef Noodles Soup) and Shrimp Paste (for Spicy Beef Noodles Soup), which make the signature flavour of the soup taste bland, we can’t taste the beef bone sweetness as well as the hint of lemongrass. There was even a slice of chicken in Beef Noodles Soup (?) the Spicy one was still considered okay but the Beef Noodles Soup is pretty strange and taste not like one.

– Unwelcoming atmosphere.

– Expensive price for the food received

I’ve been to this restaurant many times as it’s my favourite Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious meals.
A previous reviewer said white people get table service. Not true. As a whitey, my family and I have always had to order and pay upfront at the counter. We obtained our own water and cutlery also.
Back once again, they aren’t stingy on the prawns in their garlic prawn with veg stir fry, fully recommend. Tasty duck too.
I’m loving all the hydro plants.

In addition to the tasty food, I had a lovely chat with the restaurant owner about how life can be challenging sometimes. We also had a great conversation about the fresh juice she usually makes. I really appreciate it when people are real and authentic — and she truly was.

Ordered a banh mi; it was okay. The bread wasn’t the best and there wasn’t much meat compared to other restaurants with the same pricing, but it got the job done.

I want to compliment the friendly and helpful attitude of the waitress at Vina Yummy kitchen .She recommended the pork noodle soup, which was absolutely delicious, especially the flavourful broth. Both my child and I enjoyed it very much. She also really liked the noodles herself. It’s definitely worth recommending, and we will order this soup again next time.

Always being a reliable food restaurant as time goes by. Also, the price there is reasonable. Their home-made milk tea is tasty and generously portioned.
Last but not least, the owner is dedicated to the business which is truly touching.

We had dinner here in January. Ordering and seating were fine and pleasant. However, the food was below average. We had the typical Vietnamese fare of beef noodles, spicy soup noodles, vermicelli and broken rice set. Not quite sure of the reason for 5 stars. There was a piece of chicken in the beef pho, and the briskets were too chewy, the soup is bland. The grilled pork in the vermicelli was deep fried instead of grilled. The fried dumplings were a big disappointment, as dumplings are typically panfried, not deep fried in oil, and the two end products are worlds apart. When we pointed this out, response was defensive, as if there is a fault in our understanding of the English language. The funny thing is that even the Chinese wording of the menu says panfried instead of deep fried. Not going back for sure, as there are plenty of alternatives.
