I’ve been going here for 15 years now and it’s still my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Great service, amazing food, family owned restaurant. These pictures don’t do it justice. Crispy egg rolls, #11 appetizer, pho ga, and pho dad biet,

This place is so peaceful. Very authentic. We went here a lot about 14 years ago. We moved to NC. Now we are back in Virginia Beach. The first night we went back they remembered our name and what I always ordered. Excellent food. You will not be disappointed. It is not a big place but I find the atmosphere very calming.

Vietnam Garden is a hidden gem in Virginia Beach! This family-run restaurant has been serving up authentic Vietnamese cuisine for over 25 years, and their commitment to quality shines through in every dish. The food is consistently fresh and delicious – I’ve never had a disappointing meal here. What sets them apart is their unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. Daniel and the entire staff truly care about providing a stellar dining experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to Vietnamese cuisine, Vietnam Garden is a must-visit!

A highly recommended experience! The establishment boasts an exceptionally warm and courteous staff who consistently delight patrons with a complimentary salad as a welcoming gesture. Their lemongrass chicken is truly exceptional, characterized by its tenderness and meticulous marination. The crispy rolls, with their tantalizingly crunchy exterior and delectably soft interior, are an absolute treat. My loyalty to this establishment spans many years, even after relocating out of state, and every return visit is a source of immense satisfaction.

I have recently been semi disappointed with various Vietnamese restaurants I’ve eaten of late up in New York State, Maine, Boston, ABQ New Mexico and even San Francisco. So I was holding my breath when my aunt and uncle took me here.

They and their kids who are now all grown have been going here for years and I remember visiting once ages ago plus once at their original location.

Seriously loved the dish I ordered and what my uncle and aunt ordered looked really good as well. (My aunt likes to try something new each visit and my uncle usually orders one of the noodle soup pho dishes. This time he ordered the seafood pho).

I ordered the grilled pork dish that involves making your own rice paper rolls stuffed with protein, angel hair noodles, carrots, cilantro and cucumbers with the option to stuff with lettuce as well or wrap the lettuce around the rice roll which is how I do it. (Sorry to not know the name but their servers can easily help you figure it out).

For an appetizer the fried spring rolls were well sized, hot and nicely presented.

The fried banana ice cream sundae was extremely large / easily shared by three. Or that might have been a special bonus size since my aunt and uncle are such regulars

And I really liked how they gave the Vietnamese sesame brittle candy as a thank you treat with the check which I’ve not had any other VN restaurant do and I eat Vietnamese food a lot.

Last but not least. It’s clear by the decor that the owners care about making a nice but still low key dining experience that you can enjoy for a casual dinner or lunch or for a celebration.

And I like that it’s a small cozy size restaurant.

I can’t wait to come back and try other menu items. Vietnam Gardens has a very reasonably priced menu and a nice variety of good Vietnamese food options.

Bon Appetite!

We have been eating here for years, and will continue to do so. People who give this place low ratings must be use to chain Vietnamese food, or the only authentic Vietnamese food they have experienced is through pictures
Hands down the best pho in Hampton Roads. So much flavor in all of their dishes, and not just their pho. It is a family run restaurant, and you can’t but feel immersed in their traditions.

Please don’t judge this place off of the FEW negative reviews until you experience it yourself. They don’t speak for the majority

We’ve been loving this little gem for decades. The food is always fresh and the nuanced flavors are varied. We broke out of our ‘rut’ last night and tried the curry and chicken which was so yummy. Gigi and Daniel are unbeatable cooks and hosts. You realize just how special this place is when you return after months away.

Snow in Virginia Beach? It’s Pho-bruary now. Vietnam Garden is my favorite place to get a big bowl of Pho for under $10. All the food pictured was $8! Gigi and Daniel are truly some of the sweetest and hardest working people I have ever met. The 2 of them do the job of 5 people at any other restaurant. Vietnam Garden is open for lunch, closes for a couple hours, and then re-opens for dinner. It truly is a hole in the wall- hidden in a small shop outlet. The restaurant could use some atmosphere updates, but I don’t even care because the food and service is good. Make sure to get the sweet sesame treat with your receipt! Much love to Vietnam Garden, Gigi, and Daniel. Cheers 🙂

We visited Vietnam Garden because we had hosted Jolie on her visit to the DC area. Jolie’s mother runs the restaurant and we were so well taken care of. The food was wonderful – the spring rolls, the noodles, the tofu with mixed vegetables, the salad. I loved the idea of serving lettuce with crispy spring rolls and I wrapped the spring roll in a lettuce leaf and the resulting textural taste was superb. This is how I will always have crispy spring rolls in the future. If you are a vegetarian don’t worry – the vegetarian quality is very good and I know since I am a vegetarian. And the hospitality was amazing. The food feels very healthy and no added preservatives or fats – so just like home cooked food. The bathroom was amazingly clean and to me when a bathroom is so clean it means the restaurant takes cleanliness very seriously and not just for show. Finally at the end giving us sesame bars instead of the usual fortune cookie is a gem. The fortune cookie I usually never eat because it is unhealthy, but I loved the sesame bar. This really is a gem of Virginia Beach that is one of the best places to get lunch or dinner there when you are at the beach.
