This restaurant was very disappointing. My bun bo hue was extremely bland, and I had to ask for extra fish sauce just to add flavor. We also ordered the special rice plate with pork chops and two sunny-side eggs, but the eggs were a bit overcooked. The steamed egg meatloaf was hard and tasted stale, and the fried shrimp was overly fried. To make matters worse, the cucumber served was old and wilted, and my knife was dirty, which is unacceptable. Overall, the food quality and cleanliness were very poor. I will not be returning.

really like the food at Vie Thai — the flavors are great and the dishes are well prepared. However, my experience was seriously affected by the cleanliness of the place. I noticed cockroaches and what appeared to be mouse droppings, including along the walls, which was very concerning and made it hard to enjoy the meal. Cleanliness is extremely important, especially in a restaurant, and unfortunately this overshadowed the quality of the food for me.

Went with a friend, and ended up getting the number 27 large.
The pho itself was fantastic, I would highly recommend it. They also have plenty of options on the menu, so if pho is not your thing, they probably have something for you.
The location is really nice, right in downtown Lowell, but they still have plenty of space inside, which was great.
Service was excellent, the waitress was both super nice and helpful.
I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Amazing service. The food was really good. Ordered the spring rolls, crab rangoon, drunken noodles and a thai drink. Not too hard to find parking in downtown Lowell. Quiet spot with an authentic vibe to it. 4* for the atmosphere since there were customers taking calls on speakerphones, unhindered. Great experience otherwise.

I truly wish I could give this place a full five stars, because the food itself is absolutely amazing. Every dish I’ve ever tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. You can tell a lot of heart goes into the cooking here. On top of that, the staff is wonderful — friendly and genuinely welcoming, which always makes us feel valued as guests.
Unfortunately, I have to rate my current experience four out of five stars due to an issue that significantly impacted our meal. While we were eating, there were cockroaches crawling on the wall near us, which was extremely unsettling and completely tainted the experience. It made it very difficult to continue enjoying our food, despite how delicious it was.
I say this with sincerity: if the restaurant can fully address the cleanliness concerns, including any cockroach or rodent issues, I truly believe this place can return to being a solid five-star restaurant. The food and the people are already there — it just needs that final, crucial piece to match the quality of everything else.

Delicious pho. I decided to try the combo plate and the spare ribs were pretty much ALL fat. The crab rangoons were decent but nothing special, same with the egg rolls. The fried rice was good. For $13.50 for the combo plate it was decent. As I was checking out I noticed a $0.50 charge for a take out container. Kinda crazy they charge that since it was a take out order. Not sure why they charge that, am I supposed to bring my own Tupperware? Kinda odd if you ask me. The Tom Yum was pretty good. I don’t think I’d get the combo plate again but it wasn’t horrible. I tried the egg soda and it was very delicious! I want to try their soups again but maybe I’ll bring my own bowl next time….jk

Food I’ve had here is pretty good but the service needs more improvement – though the staff are generally friendly, they are slow to serve, such as requests for checks, extra sauces or utensils…
Edit: upon entering, I was hesitant because of a weird bathroom smell wafting in throughout the restaurant and lack on AC in a hot humid day. However, the noodles were still tasty and delicious. They also were good at making sure our orders were correct despite our modifications to the dish, which was greatly appreciated!
