Great spot in Robson for banh mi! I got a very hearty sandwich for under $10. I tried the BBQ chicken, and it had plenty of chicken and veggies, with the bread standing out as especially delicious. It tasted amazing and didn’t get soggy after microwaving it from the fridge. The staff was friendly, and I only waited about five minutes for my sandwich. I will definitely be back.

I found Vietsub Vancouver by accident while just passing by and decided to try it. The pho was really good — flavorful broth and the portion size is huge, definitely worth it.
The only downside is the limited seating, so it can feel a bit tight. But overall, great pho and worth stopping by.

I love Vietnamese salad rolls. I have tried tons of spots in Vancouver, but the best one is here. The chicken is always fresh, the peanut sauce is so good. How can you go wrong for $5 , I love this place. Great for take out too.

Absolutely loved this spot! I ordered the French bread with chicken and the chicken salad roll — both were incredibly fresh, flavourful, and super satisfying. The baguette was warm and crispy, and the filling was seasoned just right. The salad roll was packed with crisp veggies and tender chicken. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Service was friendly and fast, and prices were really reasonable for downtown Vancouver. It’s rare to find a place that’s quick, tasty, and affordable without compromising quality. Definitely coming back to try more on the menu. Highly recommend if you’re craving something fresh and delicious!

Wow, I can’t believe it took me this long to finally come here for a banh mi. I left Vancouver for two years and just recently came back for a few months and had a craving for a banh mi and this place was a few blocks from where I’m currently staying and I must say, I’m glad I came here.
It’s a tiny little spot, the service was super friendly and very fast!
I ended up getting the grilled lemongrass chicken and it was so delicious. The bread was soft and warm (even after I walked 6 blocks to get back to where I’m staying before eating it). The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors were on point and for only $9.66 after tax! I’ll definitely be back here again to try more items from their menu.

I used to eat here all the time when I was a student working a summer job downtown. Prices have definitely gone up, but it’s still amazing, and I’m pretty sure the owner or management is the same. The vegetable/tofu bánh mì is the best I’ve had in Vancouver. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but it honestly tasted even better than I remember.

All I can say I wow; what a treat!
If you’re hungry and looking for a quick, healthy, tasteful and filling snack, then look no place else than Viet Sub! There are different protein options to choose from as well as different styles; we stuck to the classic sub with pork. I was in town visiting a friend for a long-weekend and ate here every day for lunch. The price is cheap and the food is amazing; not much else to say. Try it, you’ll love it!!

This is my new favorite Vietnamese spot that I have to go here twice a week, honestly it was the best Vietnamese restaurant that I’ve ever tried in Vancouver downtown area. The foods were delicious and fresh, breads
were very well toasted and the employees were very friendly. Small place but cozy and I would definitely going back to try some more.

I love this place. They do what they do, and that’s all they do, but they do it so well. Very reasonably priced sandwiches, probably cheaper than subway, but with fresh bread, Vietnamese veggies, and lovely sauce and protein options.
My wife swears by the bbq sandwich; I personally like the lemongrass chicken. The server recommended the pork spring rolls as a side, and she did not disappoint; they were absolutely incredible.
The place is right next to Japadog, which is a Vancouver legend and was once reviewed by Anthony Bourdain. In a better universe, Bourdain would still be with us, and he would have followed his Japadog with a Viet Sub from here.
If you like “street food”, you have to visit. It’s THAT good.

I had an amazing experience at Viet Sub in Vancouver! I ordered the B3, which came with delicious Vietnamese ham, and it was absolutely fantastic. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the fillings were fresh and flavorful, and the balance of textures was just right. Every bite was packed with authentic Vietnamese flavors, making it one of the best banh mi I’ve had in the city. The only thing that’s bad about my experience is that I should have bought more one sandwiches.
