This family owned and ran restaurant produces the best banh mi, phu, wontons, egg rolls, noodles, fried chicken, Vietnamese coffee, and spring rolls you will find in Phoenix.
The spring rolls are beyond exceptional! They are made to order and are always fresh and crispy! You NEED to add spring rolls to your order, I prefer the traditional.

Atmosphere is clean, service is friendly but the food was just okay. I got fried noodles which looks yummy but they were not hot in temperature when I ate.

The food was awesome. Wanted something light, fresh and filling and that bun thit nuong was exactly that. My partner got the fried noodles and that he said was savory and very filling. They didn’t have dining before, just the two little tables, but they’ve expanded and now have plenty of seating. Will definitely be back to try new dishes.

Love coming to Viet Shack for my Viet Coffee fix. Their banh mi is amazing as well, definitely one of the best in the valley. There is always an ample amount of meat, a ton of toppings, and the spice level is always good. I do wish their bread was a little more crunchy, but that is just my personal preference. The crispy fried chicken was phenomenal- very crunchy but still extremely juicy. I finished all the sauce that came with it quickly though, so definitely get extra. They also recently expanded their space and it looks amazing!! The employees are always extremely sweet and helpful. Quality and price are nice as well. Please support this local business as much as possible, you won’t be disappointed!

I haven’t visited Viet Shack for a long time, so I was surprised to see that they now have an expanded dining area! Even I was always there for a to-go order, I am now intrigued to have a sit down experience.
I will never stop praising this “hole in a wall” for their fresh ingredients and attractive menu. If they start opening at 6am just by selling their signature coffee, that would be amazing!! (Take my wallet!!)
I am also happy to find out that they now offer pho. I hope to go back soon to try it out!

Most importantly this place was clean and the hospitality was excellent. This place was immaculate. We were greeted immediately as we walked in and with a smile. The person who assisted us was Tong, very friendly and knowledgeable of his food they have. This was our first time coming here because we were referred here by a friend and let tell you we were not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious and the food presentation was beautiful. We had a to go order to as well and literally 2 minutes before we were done our to go order was ready. Our food for dine in was brought to our table ❤️. If you’re looking for good food and a mom and pops restaurant this is it. Support small owned businesses.

My husband and I eat Vietnamese pretty often so were also skeptical of the high rating. We have to say, it is pretty well deserved. The food here was so fresh, well marinated tender meats, and great portions. We left very happy and looking forward to trying the Banh Mi next time!

My friend and I were looking for a light dinner and everything we got was perfect for that. The tofu vermicelli bowl was good and the tofu was crispy on the outside and so silky on the inside. The spring rolls were a classic and a great small appetizer. The man at the cash register was super helpful and nice. I’ll have to come back soon!
