Ambience isn’t all that, but the food is great.
This time I took to go to boil it and I found a bug from my soup. I found a reason why my stomach was sick and it’s awful that I paid for this and I lost my dinner.
If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese food, you’re at the right place.
When you walk in, you’re immediately met with that Vietnamese feel. Funky chairs. Altar. Jars of unknown things. Random Asian wall art. Blaring TVs.
You know it’s gonna be amazing.
We were quickly welcomed in and seated. She took our drinks right away. Very fast and efficient.
They have a pretty large menu so it was hard to decide. I asked if I could have both pork and shrimp in my spring roll and she went to check. They did and it was so delicious! Their peanut sauce was savory and perfect amount of sweet.
It was my brother in laws first time eating Vietnamese food so I recommended shaken beef (Bo Luc Lac). He said it was good.
My husband said it was the best Pho Tai he’d ever had. He couldn’t stop drinking the broth.
My Bun Dac Biet (rice noodles with shrimp, chicken and beef) was comfort food at its finest. And the eggrolls? *chef’s kiss* My mother in law ordered her own plate of just the eggrolls with a bowl of rice. They did not skimp on the rice either.
If I had a second stomach, I would’ve tried their crispy egg noodles (mi xao gion) but my father in law did and he said it was good.
Next time we’re out this way, we’re definitely coming back. My sister says she dreams of the pho broth. I don’t doubt it.
I highly recommend coming here for the food and an iced Vietnamese coffee or two. I took one for the road.
The spring rolls were delicious, and my order (#30) was pretty much exactly what I was craving that day. We came here again for the second time just a few days later after I begged my family to do dinner. The food was 10/10.
I will say, the only negative from our last visit was our server, who looked like he was in high school and getting to know the menu (I could be wrong). His customer service is so-so and he made things a tad complicated, lacked communication skills and wasn’t refilling drinks, which annoyed my family. He definitely was patient with us but the same could be said about us with him. The first time the service was perfect and there were no complaints!
Overall, this place is the best location if you’re looking to eat some fantastic Vietnamese food!
The first time, my family and I walked in and were immediately told by a server that they were out of pho, so we left.
The second visit wasn’t much better. When we entered, we stood by the counter for several minutes while about four servers walked past us several times without acknowledging us. I eventually had to stop a server to ask whether we could seat ourselves or if we needed to wait to be assigned a table. She said we could sit anywhere and then asked if we were ordering to go?? She then mentioned they were “almost out of pho” – enough for one bowl. At that point, we decided to leave again. Customer service clearly needs improvement. Guests should be acknowledged upon entering, not ignored until they speak up. Additionally, if pho is your main popular dish and you know it’s in high demand, especially during busy hours, preparation should reflect that. It was only 5:30pm, and being essentially out of pho at that time is disappointing.
Unfortunately, after two visits, I don’t see myself returning.
