My mother was craving banh mi and banh bao so I started looking for a place she might be interested in. This was the place she picked. Very small ma & pop type place. With a good menu selection. We were greeted by a very kind gentleman who helped explain the food choices to my mother. Ended up purchasing the foot long banh mi with grilled bbq pork, the bbq pork banh bao, as well as the creamy egg custard banh bao and a speciality desert drink I’m not familiar with. Everything tasted fine. No complaints. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. I recommended this place…Thumbs up.

Finding Me Wherever I May Be
I got the chicken Banh Mi which was really good. There were good portions and the bread wasn’t hard like I’ve had other places. $9 and some change for a 6”. I was greeted quickly and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere reminded me of Hanoi. The only thing that bothered me was the smell which almost made me leave and was probably why a couple of people did leave.

Ordered a large special pho. It has one big meatball cut into halves and bunch of different beef cut meats. The smell of beef pho was there just a little. They blanched the noodles too long so it got soggy and the bowl was warmed when delivered to the table. The bánh mì had a “unique” taste of the pickled veggies. The Vietnamese coffee has a balanced of bitter and sweet from the condense milk, my favorite.

We came here on 4 of July. Most of the pho places were closed this day except a few. This was our first time going to this restaurant. First off, the staff were really nice and friendly. The atmosphere is great. This place actually had their ac and fans on. The usual restaurants I go to do not have the ac or any fan on. The service was great at first, but after we received our food, they didn’t ask if we needed anything else/ check up on us. We ordered the pork egg rolls, beef fried rice, and combination pho. The egg rolls were great. They came with fresh greens and the fish dipping sauce. The beef fried rice was not good. Some of the rice was hard already and it was just a sweet flavor and nothing else. I wouldn’t recommend getting the fried rice. The combination pho was pretty decent. There wasn’t that much flavor but it was good. They give you lots of meat; with tripe and tendon! The total price added up to $60. The small pho is $14 and large is $17. The egg rolls are $8 and beef fried rice is $17. Pretty expensive for the dishes because the portions weren’t that big. Overall, it was an okay dining experience. It could be better because the other places are better.

12.14.23: Met Ma for lunch at her favorite pho spot as I was craving some hot soup in the cold weather. I ordered pho with steak, flank, tendon, and tripe, 1 spring roll, and a BBQ pork bahn mi sandwich. I had traditional hot jasmine tea as my beverage of choice.

The broth of the pho is what makes the soup as well as the fresh fixings and toppings that accompany it. The bean sprouts are a fav and give the soup that good crunch.

Normally an order of spring rolls comes with 2 rolls. I like how Viet Pho gives the option of ordering just 1 roll. The rice paper was fresh and not dry or hard nor was the shrimp fishy, so that’s a plus. The peanut sauce was plentiful and yummy and like how they top it with chopped peanuts for added crunch. My only complaint is the sauce was cold. I could have asked to have it warmed up but I didn’t, so that’s my fault.

The BBQ pork bahn mi sandwich was sooo good! My favorite of course is the homemade fresh bread. Richard, the owner, spent time and lived in Italy when he was younger and learned to make bread. His bread is amazing and yummy. The pork was tender and the carrot and pickled onion give it it’s nice crunch. The fresh jalapeno slices give it that heat to complete the sandwich.

There’s so much on the menu that anyone can find something they’ll like and if you’re adventurous, try something new. You never know you might find a new favorite dish!

The restaurant is very old. Lack of light. The staff’s attitude is very bad. I went with 10 people but they made the wrong dish for 7 people. Bought 2 drinks but charged for 3. Never come back.

VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!!!
THE PRICE IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, the taste of the food was BAD! All leftovers meats and rice.
The owner old lady was very rude, too much pressure attitude.
The minute we sat down she was there to get the orders, we told here please give us a minute. 2 minutes later she came back. We showed her the pictures of the foods from the previous customer reviews, she told us that just look at the menu and order from there.
After ordered our foods, she asked do you need forks and chop sticks?
We all were silent, but were thinking, some of us ordered noodles, some ordered rice, and we dine in, why would she asked us like that.
Other places would bring us based on what we order, don’t need to ask.
At the end we were forced to pay 25% tip, even we told her that we are not happy with the service.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.
AND FOR SURE NEVER EVER COMING BACK HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

So authentic and yummy! They are busy so you know it’s good. Their signature bahn mi sandwich was amazing. The pho broth was good. Really good spring rolls as well. The dumplings were delightful. My favorite was the sandwich. I will return

I was the only person in the restaurant and there were atleast 2 staff operating the place. Ordered a very simple combo beef plate with no special instructions. The food arrived after over 25 minutes and was a bit cold. Nothing tasted fresh and the meat was too chewy and rubbery, giving the sense that it’s undercooked or something. Don’t waste your money here, try Pho777 or Golden Flower.
