This was our first time here. We ordered the chicken fried rice, fish, and Boudin balls. My favorite was definitely the Boudin balls even without the cheese, they were still really good. The fried rice was okay, but I was a little disappointed that the chicken pieces weren’t smaller. We finished the chicken quickly and didn’t really want to eat the rest of the rice. The fish was also just okay. The view was the best part imo

This place won awards? For what being at or below average. The fried fish and ship just ok nothing special. Their fried rice is both gummy chewy, it’s different, I can’t say it was good or bad. The Pho was the weakest I’ve ever had. I could have made it at home and I’ve never made Pho. The pork banh Mi was not worth eating. Also, had Vermicelli Bowl it was very tasteless, but the grilled chicken was good in it. Boudian Balls nothing special. I’m clueless as to why this restaurant by a gas station is rated so high. I’m not from here, but know there is much better food to be found on this island.

Such a low key restaurant from outside if you don’t read the reviews. When I read people’s negative reviews I was a little worried. But the truth is :I was so taken away by my first bite! I can even image my month eating it in a slow motion while my eyes suddenly wide open with enjoyment I had the freshly made Banh Mi here. The pork is so well seasoned and still tender and juicy. This is such a big sandwich meal for me considering the $7.99 price. Ordered another Banh Mi to go and will definitely return to try other things here.

The food was excellent! Took a lil bit to come out but well worth the wait. We observed others orders coming out around us, if I could have ate one of everything I think I would have, their loaded fries looked amazing and omg the fried rice platter was big and looked so good. Them boys made happy plates! You can see the ocean across the street. Was pretty much in a one stop shopping center! We will be back.

THE BEST ASIAN FOOD ON THE ISLAND and it’s not even close. I lived in SE Asia for 2 years and I’ve never had a pork Bahn Mi as good, and I dare to say it’s maybe my favorite single menu item on the island. It’s loaded with meat (even though you can order extra if you desire) and will fill you up. At $7.99 it is an absolute STEAL! The wings are flavor-packed and the fried rice is perfect. Everything I’ve had yet here has been a home run. Small wonder Viet Cajun was named one of the top 10 restaurants in Galveston by the Houston Chronicle! If you love Cajun seasoning and Asian cooking, DO NOT MISS THIS HIDDEN GEM!

I am so happy my sister showed me this place. 10/10 soo delicious and flavorful with reasonable prices. Wow. Both of one my favorite types of food together in harmony. Boudain balls were packed with flavor and delicious fresh. They do not skimp on anything. Their Banh Mi was stuffed with delicious pork that was so flavorful and a great compliment to the pickled carrot and the fresh bun. Wow. GO HERE if in Galveston. Service was so sweet. Very popular so make sure to get there asap. 🙂

First time here and food is great. I got the grilled fish and shrimp with rice and vegetables. Very yummy and a basket of fried shrimp, oysters and shrimp was hot, fresh and tasty. Highly recommend .

The fried fish was cooked perfectly. Light batter, flaky and crispy, still juicy on the inside. Fried rice had good flavor. The vermicelli bowl was great, pork was seasoned well. Only thing is I wish the lettuce was a bit more fresh.

This is a gem. We loved the menu here: Vietnamese, seafood, and classics like a hamburger. Reasonably priced. No fuss. Fantastic food. My daughter loved the banh mi sandwich. My son had fried spring rolls. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger. My mom got two fish and fried rice. We all liked the fried rice. I got fried fish, shrimp, and oysters. We did not like the oysters. Everything else was yummy! We could eat here over and over again.
