Some of the items on the menu are way overpriced. Especially vegetarian pho with clear broth and tofu – compared to several other restaurants. The taste is good and home style. Good egg rolls. The only upsetting thing is that every time I have walked into the restaurant over two years it smells really strange. The locals are used to it / don’t mind – but it can be off putting for someone that is sensitive to smell/ it’s not very pleasant. I love their range in drinks including the pre-made refrigerated section as well as variety of boba tea. I would eat here at least once to see if it’s your favorite or a pass. It’s an inviting place where you can get a soul soothing meal.

Searched Vietnamese restaurants in Denton and two popped up. This was the better of the two based on others reviews. Food presentation was nice and order came out fast. We ordered vermicelli bowls and a spring roll. Vermicelli noodles weren’t even used. Vermicelli bowls are usually served lukewarm or room temp, these bowls were cold. Spring roll was a typical basic shrimp spring roll with the same thick noodle used in the bowls. Tofu was fried but they definitely weren’t fried when ordered, which made the tofu slightly rubbery. There really wasn’t any defining moment in our dishes because it lacked flavor. We found ourselves dressing them up. Peanut sauce was also generic. I think this place is a tad overpriced for bland food. Staff were super friendly and welcoming though.

This is the first time I’ve been so disappointed in a place. The meatballs were cold in the center, there were only 3 slices of meat, and the quality and portion size were unacceptable. After just one bite, I decided to leave. The prices at this establishment are too high for what they offer. I’ve never experienced such low quality in Vietnamese cuisine and service. It seems that the positive reviews may come from people who are not familiar w/ authentic Vietnamese cuisine bc this meal was inedible. I regret not following my instincts and my daughter’s suggestion to go somewhere else. If you enjoy this place, that’s your decision, but I wouldn’t recommend spending any money here. You’re better off using an instant pho bowl from the store and adding your own slices of beef. I don’t recommend it.

My favorite Banh Mi, and the cilantro dressing is so good! Simple food done very well, super tasty.
Update May 2023: Still a yummy bahn mi, I recommend it to all my friends. I tried the taro boba today too and it’s great! The fried dumplings were indeed fried lol. Overall though, I come here when I can, its just a simple tasty menu.

I’ve been to Viet Bites several times over the years and I’m always happy with what I order. This time I went with the combo bahn mi and cup of pho. Both were awesome! I really love the freshness of the ingredients and number of options. The restaurant was clean and the staff were excellent. I hope to be back soon!

To be honest I was very excited to try Viet Bites but was left quite disappointed. The food took a long time to come out despite the restaurant being almost empty (2 people were there that hadn’t gotten there’s yet either). Once we got the Banh mi & pho it was a lot of DIY (had to add the dressing to the sandwich that came in a very small container and wasn’t easily spread onto the sandwich because there weren’t knives available). To add insult to injury I found a very long hair in my sandwich, and it was all the way in my sandwich. Overall the food was really mid for the price, wait time, & presentation.

Was up in Denton and decided to try it. I got the beef Pho. I tasted the broth before adding anything else to it. I was not expecting it to be that good. Flavors were spot on. Whoever makes the broth is clearly very experienced in technique. Bravo!

The service was great, super yummy summer rolls. The bahn mi & pho combo is a great option. The pho isn’t the best I have had at other places, but it was definitely good! Will be back again!

Ugh… not sure why I keep giving VB a chance. Nearly walked by today but was feeling something light for lunch and remembered they had spring rolls. Total for 2 rolls + tip was nearly $10. Only had 2 single orders a head of me and waited nearly 40 min. When I got back to my office I found 2 poorly wrapped rolls and one was completely exploded (had to find a fork since I assumed I wouldn’t need one) Tofu was hard and saturated in sauce. Sorry yall – that’s gunna be my last time.

An underrated Denton staple. The food is fresh and delicious. I usually get vegetarian options – the veggie pho with tofu and extra avocado, the veggie spring rolls. I’ve had their bahn mi and love it. Really tasty sauce options. Their gluten free peanut sauce is INCREDIBLE. My favorite. It is BYOB and very affordable. My partner gets a rice bowl with the citrus ginger sauce a lot and it looks tasty. The staff are very kind and helpful. Usually able to get in and out really fast too .
