We stopped here on the Newport Foodies Tour. Will (co-owner) gave us wonderful background about the origin of the restaurant and the chef. He started us with a Rosé Prosecco which was bubbly and light with a dry finish. The salad was excellent and finally the light and fluffy hand made ravioli. With as good as those small portions were (remember, food tour), we want very much to go back for their other offerings.

Dined on the patio and followed our servers’ recs (Eliza); burrata & greens followed by freshly seared tuna. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Reservations a good idea. Hospitality plus++

Wednesday night dinner with the wife!Greeted and seated quickly by the friendly hostess! Shelby our waitress promptly brought bread and cheese to the table. The bread was fresh and soft. The clams vongole was the best I ever had and its my death row meal. Wife had the striped bass special. Get the Newport Dine out book its good here in the offseason!

What a gem! We were surprised by the ambience, it is like a small bistro you’d find in Italy. Food was excellent and the wine list is extensive. Be sure to ask what the specials are, we didn’t know to ask. But, the table next to us did and they sounded wonderful. Looking forward to returning!

We made a dinner reservation (a must) on a Wednesday night. We started with the calamari as appetizer. We asked our waiter for bread because the sauce was delicious.
We ordered the “night special”, black pepper tuna and it came cooked the way we asked (rare) it was excellent!
This was my second time eating at Vieste and I would certainly go back!

Food: absolutely delicious. Vegetable soup was top notch. Ravioli and Chicken parm were delicious
Service: everyone was very friendly. Our server was wonderful and attentive, even though they seemed short staffed.

Limited lunch menu. But that’s okay.
Burrata maybe could have used some bread on the side, but it was totally delicious.
Cacio e pepe was top notch and my daughter (and I!) really liked it.
My gnocci were a little dense (but definitely not bad) and the bolognese was fine.
Spaghetti and meatball was a huge portion, and was very, very nice. Especially the gigantic meatball. Top notch.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. I loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Lots of menu items to choose from. Unfortunately our waiter was very abrupt and rushed us along the entire time. We may try it again, hoping for a different waiter, but he definitely put a negative spin on our relaxing evening.

I am convinced that Newport restaurants are no longer trying to make good food because they only have to cater to tourists who will never be back. The place was empty, but they tried to sit us in the covered area that was freezing, but it was so hot inside it was almost unbearable.
The crab cakes came out cold. The server was very apologetic and put in a new order immediately. The giant meatball came out ice cold in the middle and what they are calling chicken Piccata is nothing close. It was basically soup. This was subpar Italian food that was extremely overpriced. Over $150 for 2 people, and we threw the leftovers away when we got home.

This restaurant is named after a town in the Italy region of Pulgia. Having been in this region I was looking forward to eating here .The entrees that I had were mediocre, and the Bolognese Sauce was nutmeg heavy… ruined the dish. First time there, so I would chance going again. In addition, they have a bar with live entertainment which was a pleasant surprise .
