Talk about a hole in wall goodness! The Pad Lao was delicious! Pair it with a fresh cold Thai tea and you’re set! The restaurant had good vibes playing throwback r&b from the 2000’s. The service was consistent and welcoming. I highly recommend this spot any day for some good Lao/Thai food in West Sac!

Very clean small eating place with about 10 tables. The dishes are a combination of Thai Vietnamese and Laos cookings. Be prepared most dishes are a little spicy even mild versions are asked for. I think this is a good place to grab simple tasty food.

Beef pho with shrimp and pork sausage was amazing. Broth full of flavor. Wide rice noodles interesting but good. Definitely eat here again.

I had heard this was a great place for dinner and the best Laotian food in town and I was not disappointed! Staff were super friendly. I asked what were the most popular Laotian dishes and ordered the Laotian sausage appetizer, garlic pork, red curry, and eggplant with extra side of sticky rice.. They were all very fragrant and tasty. We had just spent a long day biking so we carried out – everything was ready in 10’ or so. Will have to come back another time for a sit down dinner.

I went to Vientiane with a group of my close friends as we saw a post on social media advertising the restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. I wanted to try the stuffed chicken wings, and they were sold out. I will definitely make a trip back to West Sacramento to try the stuffed wings. The service was not that good as the restaurant was packed and there were only two servers. The staff did not anticipate the number of people coming to the restaurant since the post on social media. We got the food tower, fresh fish, and several other items. Check it out, but I recommend that you go early.

First time having dinner here at this place. It’s a small place that have about 7 tables. The food here is good. My favorite one is the Laos sausage and the fried tilapia with the tomato paste sauce. The kao soy was ok, not too flavor. The red curry was good and a little sweet, which I love it. The papaya was a bit on the sour side, so if you don’t like sour like me, you gotta let them know. The laab was ok, wish I could of ordered it cook. Raw make the meat a bit sticky and gooey. But overall, yes I would come back. The price for these food is decent. All of these for about $90 bucks.

We came on a Saturday night at 7pm 6/28
Wanted to try the khaopoon
And they close at 9pm; they didn’t have the usual noodles and offered the pho noodles. Since we already drove there we might as well try for the broth and overall flavor. The khaopoon broth was honestly way too thick for me. But I understand some people may prefer that. For a Saturday night and 2 hours before closing I just hope they can do a little better next time for food quality wise.

Delicious food and great service. Finding Vientiane on the way home from Tahoe was a treat. We ordered a tofu pad se ew and their sampler tower. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only mistake we made was asking for their medium spice level. I guess we have very different definitions of “medium”.

I will definitely stop by again when in the area.

I’ll go in to into my gripes first. With the unexpected exposure, the restaurant is understaffed and out of some key items. I can’t hold that against them too much. Service was slow (there was only 1 person on the floor). No stuffed chicken wings or mango sticky rice. No blue bath tubs. Now for the good! The ambiance here is great. The food was great. The drinks were good. The lychee sangria is the perfect amount of wine and lychee- not too sweet either. We ordered the tower, drunken noodles, the steak, fried tilapia, chicken satay, and something else I can’t remember lol. All very good. The meatballs have a weird texture-i wasn’t a fan. The papaya salad is hella good. Garlic pork- amazing! Chicken satay was a little salty. All in all- I’d go back.
