Their corned beef and pastrami are amazing (as I assume everything else is as well). Slymans was closed today (despite their hours saying they were open) so I just ran over here instead for a corned beef sandwich for lunch. The service was great, everyone was very nice and despite waiting in line for a little while, once I got up front they were on it. I’ve come here many times in the past for meat for holidays and birthdays. Great every time. Love this place, can’t recommend it enough.

I have been a customer with this establishment for over four decades…since Covid-19, each experience has been a downgrade…all involving price jacking…I for the life of me can’t fathom how the price can increase, within a seven month span, more than $10 per pound for corned beef (HEATED LUNCHMEAT)…$31.95 per POUND…Guess what?…my corned beef tastes much better…I may be your new competition…always remember, the same community that made you, will be the same ones who will abandon you, if you continue with your price gouging…always new management…shameful

So came to Vienna for the first time in at least 10 years cuz we used to come all the time. I ordered a corned beef sandwich The jumbo which was $20. It was a little bit smaller than the jumbo you usually get from anywhere else but the meat was phenomenal and flavorful. Two issues one the sliver of pickle that I was given for my sandwich was ridiculous. Normally you get a quarter wedge of a pickle one for each half a sandwich. This sliver was half that size and I only got one. That is absolutely ridiculous for $20 sandwich. Second there were a lot of people working and so many personal conversations going on it was hard to know who was doing my sandwich. Also not a big deal but they kind of made fun of me because I only wanted a corned beef sandwich not toasted no cheese and just yellow mustard. Not a big deal because I can take a joke just informational since they were so skinchy on the meat and the pickle. It did not feel like it was made properly.

Got a Ruben today, the taste was amazing but the hot dog was $4 and wasn’t even cooked .it tasted like it was just rinsed off and put on a bun. It also cold. Also it was about 5 or 6 workers behind the counter just laughing and chilling until I said something and one finally walked over and took my order.

I ordered a 2L Pepsi/ Jumbo corned beef sandwich with onion, cheese, mayo and mustard. Not only was the Pepsi unavailable… my sandwich was not jumbo and did not have the onions. The order was not ready either when I arrived well after the time I was told my food would be ready. Disappointed is an understatement. I will not patronize this place again.

The man preparing my sandwich at the Counter didn’t bother to ask me how I wanted it. Instead, he simply crafted it according to his own preferences, disregarding my choices completely. The staff behind the counter seemed to have a rather dismissive attitude, lacking the helpfulness that one would expect in a sandwich shop. I found the entire experience to be unsatisfactory, particularly because the size of the sandwich was disappointingly small—certainly the least generous portion I’ve ever received. I must admit, I left feeling quite let down. I had been eagerly anticipating enjoying a hearty meal, but instead, I ended up with a subpar sandwich. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning to this establishment anytime soon.

Quick counter service, they even gave me a sample while waiting for my order. The Deli is absolutely spotless with friendly staff. Generous parking lot. Corned beef was delicious .
