We chose to share several appetizers, including the Iberico pork meatballs, crispy artichokes, and steamed mussels — and every single dish was dynamite. The mussels were hands-down the best we’ve had since visiting Italy! Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything we ordered was outstanding.
Our server Michael was exceptional — attentive without being intrusive, extremely knowledgeable, and even a wine sommelier who helped us select the perfect pairing. The manager also made a point to visit every table, which added such a warm, personal touch to the evening.
To make the night even more special, they gifted roses to all the women and offered chocolate-dipped strawberries on the way out — such a thoughtful Valentine’s Day detail.
Parking in the area can be a little challenging, but there’s a public parking garage around the corner that’s absolutely worth the $20 for such an incredible dining experience.
Overall, it was a wonderful, memorable evening and the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We highly recommend Vidrio to anyone in the Raleigh area looking for an elevated, welcoming, and truly delicious Mediterranean dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and truly welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend the cioppino, full of rich flavor and perfectly cooked seafood. The heirloom carrots were a surprise favorite, and the salad with Brussels sprouts and spinach was fresh, well-balanced, and full of texture. A fantastic dining experience all around. Can’t wait to come back!
The food itself was decent. We ordered scallops, an octopus salad, beef stroganoff, and I also got the chicken—they brought a pretty big portion, almost half a chicken. My wife ordered a steak. I liked everything overall; my wife didn’t love the steak, but I’m a big chicken fan and my dish was honestly excellent.
Would I come back? Probably not. The food was good, but the place didn’t really give me a “wow” feeling, and the service and overall vibe just didn’t quite do it for me.
While the service was top-notch, the food itself was somewhat disappointing. The dishes lacked proper seasoning, which impacted the overall flavor, though the presentation and quality were otherwise acceptable. Despite the food being just okay, Graycen’s excellent service made the experience enjoyable overall. We’d return in hopes of improved flavors, confident that Graycen’s care would make it worthwhile.
To start, I ordered the Moroccan Beef Skewers served with harissa yogurt and sumac. Coming from a family with Lebanese influences through my fiancé, I’ve enjoyed excellent skewers in the past, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, these exceeded my expectations—the beef was flavorful, and the harissa yogurt with sumac was exceptional. I highly recommend this dish.
For my entrée, I selected the Mixed Grill, which included hanger steak, roasted chicken, grilled shrimp, baby peppers, and an olive oil potato purée. Each protein was cooked well and paired with its own accompanying sauce, enhancing the flavors beautifully. All of the meats were juicy and thoughtfully prepared.
Service was professional, though the waiter/bartender seemed quite busy with bar prep and stocking. While they only checked in twice, they remained polite and attentive when present.
Overall, VIDRIO is a great choice for flavorful Mediterranean-inspired cuisine paired with a stylish atmosphere. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting Raleigh.
