The Cuban toast, a sourdough sandwich style bread grilled lightly in butter, was a nice way to sop up the creole sauce in the Cuban hash I enjoyed. This was an extra $1.50 add on to the entree; it wasn’t included in the entree price.
We also ordered a Havana breakfast with over easy eggs on black beans with fried yuca. We also had a wild rice pancake that was decent, and a blueberry pancake.
The house coffee was a wonderfully-aromatic dark roast that I could drink every morning.
The service was warm and attentive. This place is small and has tight seating and limited hours. I recommend a mid day visit on a weekday for that reason.
I would most definitely come back here, again and again for nourishing comfort food.
Note that they do charge
decided to try something different , tried paella and let me tell you that it was excellent!.
My beautiful wife got the vegetarian that was delicious!.
Currently they are working on obtaining a liquor license under their new ownership, so that was slightly disappointing at first but the food and vibes made up for it and then some.
I get it as individuals (including owners of businesses)we can disagree on the political climate but we should do it civilly. That being said, a business entity should focus on quality of service and getting repeat customers and not get untangled in nonsense of the day.
Until Victors goes back to what it used to be to be, just being a hip dive with great food and great service. I will just stick to ordering out from them or go to their Cuban competitions.
Victors you’ve got something your competitors lack and that is great food and service don’t lose focus on that. Stop allowing your restaurant to be a shunning to a people that may not agree with you politically but enjoy your food.
PS if any review complains about wait times or the staff, you should ignore them. the restaurant is wicked small and the wait staff do their absolute best to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.
Inside and out, the atmosphere stayed in step with the vibrant cuisine, truly feeling like a trip back in time. We stuck to coffee this morning but all around us guests were sipping on refreshing and colorful looking cocktails.
For brunch, I had the lechón asado (pictured here), and my buddy had the chicken and Spanish chorizo paella. They were both delicious, filling, and well worth the price point. Lastly, the service was prompt and genuine. Really enjoyed my experience and will most definitely be coming back for more!
the staff has always been a delight to me, going above + beyond to provide quick, polite, and personable service. the food is obviously to die for and there is so much diversity on their menu, you seriously can’t go wrong. outdoor seating is wonderful and while wait times can be a bit tough, the wait makes it all that much better. so much character in such a small building!!!
i hope victor’s continues to thrive each year bc it truly is a gem in my neighborhood. <3
