The owner had a food truck in Houston. That had a great following, but he wanted. Something different, so 20 miles or so east of Waco. He saw a little corner building for sale. Got it fixed it up, beautiful job. And this food is absolutely incredible. The pork ribs were great !! She loved the brisket. I thought it was just a little. I don’t know. It was super tender, but just wasn’t quite as moist as the way i get it at other top places. Now, that’s my take. You may love it that way, but I leave honest reviews. The sides were incredible. Some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had in a barbecue place. He told me how he made it so good, but i’m not going to give you his secret. They don’t have all the traditional sides, but I will post his menu, so you can see for yourself. He was super nice. We talked quite a little bit while we were there and just overall loved it..

If I could give this 6 stars I would, wow, the meat is awesome!! Awesome BBQ, wow it’s moist and good!!! I live in Waco, just passing through and wow it’s awesome! I will definitely be driving back out here just for the BBQ. The atmosphere and country music is great, the service is impeccable and the owner walks around talking to the patrons, highly respectable and I like it. If you are within 30 mins or driving up or down Interstate 35 you need to take a short detour here and come eat some excellent Texas BBQ! BBQ so good it makes you want to take a nap afterwards!

Well we had just eaten a couple of hours before and we weren’t hungry enough to make it a full meal, but couldn’t resist trying something, since it was our first time here. We weren’t disappointed. The brisket was moist and didn’t even need a fork. Very tender. Sausage tasted incredible and had a home made taste to it. Will try the sides next time we are in the area and make it a full meal. Worth the stop in Mart if your looking for a meal.

I am not a sauce person. Their sauce changed my mind! We went during the eclipse so there was a limited menu. We had brisket with potato salad & cucumber salad. The texture of the brisket was almost to barbacoa level!! Their sauce is like NO OTHER SAUCE! it is mildly sweet but thin, almost between BBQ & homemade salsa. You just have to try it to understand. The sides were sooooo good! They were out of pasta salad but that just tells me that’s what to get!!

The vibe, the people, and The FOOD… all i can say is wow.. this place is so cute and unique. The picanha was simply amazing. You won’t find anything you don’t like. All i can say is the next time we come through Mart we will definitely be stopping over here again.

Driving up you notice the black truck with plates that say pitmaster and you know you’re in for a treat. You enter and the aroma hits you. The inside has a style that is chill. The owner Joey Valentine is there cutting the meat. The food is sure to be a top 50 Texas monthly in the upcoming issue. Don’t skip the sides! The taki Mac and cheese is amazing and if you have to choose between loaded mashed and potato salad go with the loaded mash. Ribs were some of the best, tri tip is flavorful and better than lean brisket. Moist brisket was tender and flavorful. The lemon pepper wings were also really good.
