If you’re looking for authentic Italian food with heart, Vicinos Italian Restaurant is an absolute gem!
We were in town for my son’s swim meet and wanted a great Italian spot where he could carb up before his races and I’m so happy we found this beautiful, family-oriented restaurant. The moment we walked in, the smell of fresh, delicious food filled the air and instantly made us feel at home.
From the very beginning, the owners were incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. We were greeted with genuine smiles and treated like family, which made the entire experience even more special. The customer service here is truly top-tier attentive, friendly, and full of heart.
The food was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with love. We were even treated to complimentary bread and pizza, which was such a thoughtful and generous touch. And the dessert? AMAZING the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
One thing that really stood out was how the owners greeted so many guests by name. You could tell there are many loyal regulars, and seeing that kind of connection between a restaurant and its customers is rare and beautiful. It created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like part of the community.
We loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Vicinos to anyone looking for incredible Italian food, outstanding service, and a true family-style dining experience!

The best! Literally off the path. Everything spot on! Warm welcome. Service and friendly. All food was spot on. Two types of bread at service! White pizza and warm rustic bread! Simple salad and hit the spot. Spaghetti with garlic and oil so light! Perfecto, the eggplant parm, lightly fried to great crisp. Then a spot of ice cream on them.. True food here bring your family here.

What took me so long to find this place? It tastes genuine in a really rare way. The flavors pop out! The garlic and cheese and tomatoes are all so deep in flavor. For whatever reason, they also gave us things “on the house”. Yum! The broccoli with mushrooms is something we’ll order on our own next time we come, for sure! I feel like I’m back in time eating my husband’s (Italian) grandmother’s cooking. Just. Wow!

Great little spot in Silver Spring. My son wanted pizza and looked up places on GMaps. Super happy we came here. The white pizza app, cheese pizza, chicken francese, and complimentary ice cream desserts were amazing. The pizza is thin crust and crispy and the red sauce is delicious. The melted cheese on the pizzas were just a bit crispy amd loved it. They also spread a thin layer of sauce on top of the cheese pizza. Staff, front of and back of kitchen, were super friendly, and am excited to go back and try different menu items

The tomato cheese pizza was greasy and floppy. The crust was almost non-existent. I can’t say this is the worst pizza I have ever had but it is in the running. My nephew ordered the mushroom ravioli which he indicated was average at best. The house red wine was ok. The free desert that the waitress gave us was actually good. That was the best part of the meal. The prices are reasonable so that is another plus. But the place was almost empty on a Sunday afternoon and for good reason. Unless the cook and owner are willing to up their game and deliver a better product, I would advise skipping this place.

This was my first time visiting here. The service for a call in order was great and the visit in the store gave very comforting.
Unfortunately I can’t say I will be returning.
I ordered baked ziti it has no taste, no ricotta cheese, and not enough sauce. It’s penne with red sauce and huge chunks of barley melted mozzarella cheese.
We also ordered a chicken alfredo, the taste of the sauce amazing but lacked any thickness so didn’t stick to the undercooked noodles, the chicken could’ve took more time to give a nice color instead of a bland white unseasoned chuck of meat.
The salad, was basic iceberg lettuce can olives chunks of onions, tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella upon request the house dressing has a good taste to it as well.
THE BREAD IS AMAZING. Right now that would be the only reason to return outside of the service.
We got the last order of the fresh bread for the night so I loved that for them as well.

So I haven’t ate a lot of different things here but their pasta with meat sauce and the rigatoni with meat sauce is delicious! Henry is such a sweet kid and Jason and Christina are nice as well!!! Decent prices, quaint sitting area.

Very disappointing. I took my wife out for Valentine’s Day arriving at around 9 pm and was turned away. They were supposed to close at 10:30 pm…plenty of time. Austensibly, they lost one if their ovens which presumably means they had more than one. Guests were still being served. I pleaded with them to squeeze us in indicating we’d be more than happy to wait longer for our food, to no avail. We were still turned away. We went home for leftovers. Not a good day for this husband on Valentine’s Day.
