We really wanted to love this place and have been wanting to check it out for years. We did go for dinner and it was a cute “mom and pop” place, but it seemed a bit outdated and though the service was great, the food was unfortunately underwhelming.

This is old school italian restaurant. If you want the old family local vibe, solid food, and exceptional service then come here. They knew their customers by name. They treated us like old friends. They do the little extras – free cheesy bread and ice cream at the end and shook our hands at the end and thanked us for coming!! Honestly the nicest experience I have had in ever or a long time and I used to run a restaurant. Go here if you aren’t expecting fancy but want to eat great food, big portions, and an atmosphere like you are at your best friend’s mom’s house.

The food was great and the service was exceptional, a diamond in the rough. The eggplant parmigiana was great and chicken franchise better along with the linguine was a good side, then he brought us some Italian ice cream (oh my god) what a finish. My wife couldn’t hang so I had to finish the chianti, damn. Updated 12-5-22 Went back again for OssoBuco, everything was fantastic. Recommended

I came for a late lunch and am not from the area and I tell you what, Vicino did not disappoint. I ordered the seafood combination linguine and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely enjoyed the food and service was excellent and felt like they cared about my experience here.

You come here, you become family. Everyone is greeted and talked to personally. If you are trying to stay undercover, probably not the place for you. If you want a place you and your friends can meet up every month, this would be perfect.

Six of us had lunch on a Friday I midAugust and were the only ones there. Sad fir everyone else. Servers were attentive, and the chef was on their game. Fried zucchini was crispy and light. Spaghetti and meatballs were flavorful. . The marinara had a bright, assertiveness taste. Subs were well-stuffed; salads, large and varied. My calzone was full of veggies, ricotta, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. The crust was a little underdone, though. Tartuffo ice cream was rich and covered in chocolate, almonds and a cherry in the center.

An old favorite from when we lived in the area for many years. Wonderful that not only has it stayed true to why we always came (excellent food, great and friendly service, plus a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home), it has improved where it needs to and stayed consistent with what we always loved. White pizza with fontina cheese, red wine, and pasta with garlic & oil; can’t go wrong, plus there’s always more to discover. Highly recommended.
