Vic Sushi is really just regular. Nothing special about them.
This seems to be another case of “This is the best Sushi ever” but only because they haven’t had good quality Sushi.
Vic is solid. That’s it. It doesn’t go past that.
The 3 roll special is a good deal.
However, many times, their rolls are fairly empty of filling.
The rolls have decent flavor, but they’re like miniature rolls, so they’re not very filling.
The rolls also break up very easily, and there isn’t much rice on the rolls.
The quality of the ingredients seems to be good, but it’s the quality of the finished product that falls short.
Once again, a solid spot, not good, not great, but solid.
A typical Chinese own restaurant, not the authentic Japanese owned restaurant, if you’re wondering. The lady was pretty nice and made me felt welcomed with a little one I have with me. I ordered a lunch beef fried rice for my little girl and a 2 rolls sushi for myself. I am surprised the lunch beef fried rice comes with a tom yum soup while my 2 rolls sushi comes with a miso soup. Never a place I’ve been to offer tom yum soup with the meal. It is always miso soup only! The beef fried rice came out alright, but I wish it could be a bit more dry than soggy. The two sushi rolls were average, nothing too special. I will probably try out other places if I’m around the area next time.
Their sushi is definitely star and recommendable.
Is it the fanciest place? Nah, but it’s a solid recommendation if you are looking for just simple and good enough. Also the noodle dishes are very tasty, house special is spicy but nicely flavored.
The food is like what you would expect a home cook aiming for thai to be accessible to everyone, tasty, cheap, not super spicy.
It is probably more of a 4 star place but the service is fast and super nice and food is consistent which feels rare these days.
