In a hard worked family Alberto grew up close to New York. Chef Alberto found his own love for food, strongly influenced by his mother – an exceptional chef who nourished him with a classic Italian cuisine, local fish and homemade pasta. Her food was basic, swiftly made and always tasty.

Both of their locations are absolutely amazing, but the newest one on Flamingo/Durango completed the biggest thing I asked for which is closer to Summerlin! This place has the aura of no other Italian restaurant I’ve ever been.
The food is on an entirely different level. Every dish tastes like it was crafted with intention, from the richness of the sauces to the freshness of the ingredients. The pasta is perfectly done, the seafood is vibrant and flavorful, and every plate comes out looking like it belongs on the cover of a culinary magazine. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every detail.
The service ties the whole experience together. The staff moves with the kind of confidence and knowledge that only comes from people who truly care about what they do. They’re attentive without hovering, helpful without being scripted, and genuinely make you feel like you’re their top priority.
Viareggio isn’t just a good Italian restaurant—it’s the kind of place you recommend to anyone who wants a memorable dining experience. Exceptional food, beautiful ambiance, and service that makes you want to come back the next night. An absolute standout in Las Vegas. Did I mention they have a live pianist. Frank is great!!!
We were handled so well and gracefully by the chef/owners daughter, what a gem.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND, well worth the trip.
We were impressed immediately with their service, white table clothes, and homey feel. The pianist sat down and performed several songs, some Italian or just from the olden days.
The drinks were fabulous and they brought complimentary bread. It was not too busy when we went, maybe just a few tables filled. Everything we had was divine – the steak, mashed potatoes, the chicken asparagus dish… All amazing!
We will definitely be back. Thank you Viareggio for a wonderful experience!
One drawback was the doorbell chime every time the door opened—it was quite distracting and should really be eliminated.
We dined on Friday at 6:00 PM, the day after Christmas, and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. Our waiter was excellent—very attentive and also the one who greeted us at the door, which set a welcoming tone.
My wife ordered the Italian tri-color salad, which was excellent, highlighted by a soft and flavorful Gorgonzola. Warm baked Italian bread with salted butter was served and was very good. I ordered the bruschetta for the table, and it was one of the best I’ve had.
I also ordered the escargot, but it was overly salted and bitter, so it was sent back. My wife ordered the veal Francese—the veal itself was tender and the sauce was excellent, but the flour coating was gummy and not the desired texture. I ordered the cioppino; while the sauce was slightly over-salted, the clams, mussels, and shrimp were delicious. The scallops were the standout—perfectly cooked, sweet, and savory.
Overall, this is a nice restaurant with strong potential. With closer attention to seasoning, texture, and small details like the door chime, this could easily be a five-star experience.
