In a hard worked family Alberto grew up close to New York. Chef Alberto found his own love for food, strongly influenced by his mother – an exceptional chef who nourished him with a classic Italian cuisine, local fish and homemade pasta. Her food was basic, swiftly made and always tasty.

If you’re searching for a standout Italian dining experience in Las Vegas, Viareggio is the place that sets the bar. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits you—warm lighting, elegant décor, and a vibe that feels both upscale and welcoming. It strikes that rare balance of feeling special without ever feeling pretentious.

Both of their locations are absolutely amazing, but the newest one on Flamingo/Durango completed the biggest thing I asked for which is closer to Summerlin! This place has the aura of no other Italian restaurant I’ve ever been.

The food is on an entirely different level. Every dish tastes like it was crafted with intention, from the richness of the sauces to the freshness of the ingredients. The pasta is perfectly done, the seafood is vibrant and flavorful, and every plate comes out looking like it belongs on the cover of a culinary magazine. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every detail.

The service ties the whole experience together. The staff moves with the kind of confidence and knowledge that only comes from people who truly care about what they do. They’re attentive without hovering, helpful without being scripted, and genuinely make you feel like you’re their top priority.

Viareggio isn’t just a good Italian restaurant—it’s the kind of place you recommend to anyone who wants a memorable dining experience. Exceptional food, beautiful ambiance, and service that makes you want to come back the next night. An absolute standout in Las Vegas. Did I mention they have a live pianist. Frank is great!!!

Cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. Food, amazing: bruschetta so fresh, bread great, grilled salmon the BEST I have had in Vegas. Huge work party of 8 they handled us seamlessly. Wines we ordered were out of stock but happily substituted an upgrade. One of the guests was born and raised in Firenze Italy and he raved (well of course he did, he actually chose the place).
We were handled so well and gracefully by the chef/owners daughter, what a gem.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND, well worth the trip.

I absolutely love coming to Viareggio Italian Restaurant. Every visit is a fantastic experience—from the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the incredible food that never disappoints. The flavors are authentic and rich, reminding me of true Italian home cooking. The pasta is always fresh, the sauces are perfectly balanced, and the presentation is beautiful. The service is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Whether you’re here for a casual lunch or a special dinner, Viareggio always delivers an unforgettable meal. Highly recommended!

I think the best part about this place is even when it’s busy there is still a quiet demeanor to the building. The food is always spectacular. One of the few Italian spots where they take the time to do pasta right. The perfect sauces on top of perfect Al Dente pasta. Definitely will always come back here for family gatherings and date nights.

I went in tonight for the first time at the Flamingo location, and I had such a great experience! A young lady named Kiara served us, and she truly made the whole visit amazing. She was so kind, welcoming, and very attentive the entire time. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us without being overbearing. Her positive attitude and sweet personality really stood out. Amazing!

Viareggio was absolutely amazing. We decided on Italian for our first night in Vegas. We were staying near the Sam’s Town casino and this was just a quick Uber ride away.

We were impressed immediately with their service, white table clothes, and homey feel. The pianist sat down and performed several songs, some Italian or just from the olden days.

The drinks were fabulous and they brought complimentary bread. It was not too busy when we went, maybe just a few tables filled. Everything we had was divine – the steak, mashed potatoes, the chicken asparagus dish… All amazing!

We will definitely be back. Thank you Viareggio for a wonderful experience!

I had the pappardelle la mare. It’s an exquisite slippery ribbon pasta with a creamy lemon sauce and scallops and shrimp. Absolute perfection on the authentic Italian dishes. They brought out delicious cannoli for dessert. There was a live piano player and singer that entertained quietly enough that we could easily have discussion. The chef came out to greet us. Service is warm and friendly while very attentive and professional. Fabulous authentic Italian food in an unassuming spot.

Excellent wine selection, including a very nice 2019 Barolo. The ambience is beautiful with tasteful Italian music and good lighting. White tablecloths and table lighting were a nice touch and elevated the dining experience.

One drawback was the doorbell chime every time the door opened—it was quite distracting and should really be eliminated.

We dined on Friday at 6:00 PM, the day after Christmas, and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. Our waiter was excellent—very attentive and also the one who greeted us at the door, which set a welcoming tone.

My wife ordered the Italian tri-color salad, which was excellent, highlighted by a soft and flavorful Gorgonzola. Warm baked Italian bread with salted butter was served and was very good. I ordered the bruschetta for the table, and it was one of the best I’ve had.

I also ordered the escargot, but it was overly salted and bitter, so it was sent back. My wife ordered the veal Francese—the veal itself was tender and the sauce was excellent, but the flour coating was gummy and not the desired texture. I ordered the cioppino; while the sauce was slightly over-salted, the clams, mussels, and shrimp were delicious. The scallops were the standout—perfectly cooked, sweet, and savory.

Overall, this is a nice restaurant with strong potential. With closer attention to seasoning, texture, and small details like the door chime, this could easily be a five-star experience.

Had dinner here for the first time. We’re from out of town and based our choice of this restaurant on the ratings. And they were very accurate. The food was great. Frank the piano player was spectacular. He asked for requests and played the song that my wife and I heard the night we got engaged. So, food, atmosphere, service staff were all incredible. Scored a bunch of romantic points by taking my wife there for dinner.

We forgot to reserve a table at another restaurant, and this one just happened to be pretty close. Not gonna lie, we were a little nervous from the street view. We were pleasantly surprised by the inside, its clean, and so nice! The coffee was fantastic, the food was amazing, and our waitress was super sweet and attentive! If you’re going to Vegas and want an awesome Italian meal from a family owned restaurant, and also don’t want to have to pay an arm and a leg, don’t skip out on this gem!!! It really was worth it! Oh, and definitely good sized portions!!!!
