Loved the atmosphere and service here. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Food was mostly good but I deducted a ⭐️ for undercooked pizza and too much ice in my cocktail. See photos.

Overall though, I would come back and try the food again bc it had great flavor. The salad and crostini with whole roasted tomatoes and goat cheese were the stars of the meal.

Tastefully decorated with delicious certified Neapolitan pizza, Via Tribunali transports diners to southern Italy. I love this place. I usually go to the Queen Anne location, but the Capitol Hill location is just as good. It is a bit bigger that the Queen Anne location and they have a back room for private events, as well.

Authentic Italian style pizza, wood fire baked, thin crust, fresh and simple combination of ingredients. A pleasant evening spot for good food with friends or family

Sinful and delectable pasta in this atmospheric restaurant, I highly recommend this cozy spot for a great dinner. Take a place by the oven and be mesmerized by the pizzas and lasagnas sliding in and out of it. The cooks are wizards with their acts and one can stay in a state of trance until their food arrives.

The arancini bites will take you back to a past life where you zippered around Rome on a Vespa on a warm summer afternoon, chirping Ciao to everyone. Yes, we all were once there and this is the way to unlock those memories.

The pizza arrived with a pair of scissors to, you know, cut apart your pizza. The crunch and melt is sublime, a feeling that can only be surpassed by ordering another pizza.

I intend to eat my way through the menu in my lifetime so that I don’t have to return again to finish it ❤️

Great Neapolitan‑style pizza in Seattle! I had the carbonara — thin, crisp crust and perfectly runny yolk. Very close to the authentic Italian flavor. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Via Tribunali: Where My Heart and Stomach Are Forever Betrothed

Oh, darlings, I cannot believe I’ve been holding out on this review—how utterly tragic of me! After years of blissful visits to this Neapolitan paradise in Capitol Hill, it’s time to spill the tea (or rather, the marinara).

The night began with a bang: their version of a Manhattan. Oh honey, it wasn’t just a drink—it was a mood, a lover, and a hug in a glass all at once. Bold, smooth, and utterly irresistible.

Then came the focaccia bread, warm and fluffy like a carb-laden cloud sent from the heavens, followed by an arugula salad that practically pirouetted across my palate—peppery, bright, and gorgeously dressed. But the star, as always, was the DOC Margherita pizza. The simplicity of fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil? An operatic love story baked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. Every bite was a crescendo of flavor.

The service? Impeccable, darling. Attentive without hovering, friendly without fawning. And the vibe? It’s Capitol Hill chic meets rustic Italian dream. You walk in and feel like you’ve just stepped into a Fellini film.

In short, Via Tribunali is not just a restaurant—it’s a full-blown affair. I am committed, I am devoted, and I will keep coming back for as long as they’ll have me. Bravo!

Words cannot express the pleasure derived from the perfection that is Via Tribunali. The first time we stumbled upon Via we were back the next day in Seattle for dinner there again. This means a lot because we live over an hour away and venture into Seattle on average once a month.

Update 2023. Made a single stop during a brief visit driving through from out of state and Via did NOT disappoint. Sustained 5 stars.

Update 2025. Very sad to see a change in atmosphere and change in ingredients for their pizza. This used to feel like a much more posh dinning experience and they have clearly changed with the times either through change in management, ownership or sentiment. It did seem to match the neighborhood which has gotten dirtier and grungier over the years. I wish I could say this place sustained itself as it was but it has not.

Amazing pizza, genuinely some of the best neopolitan style pizza I’ve had period. The pasta and focaccia made a great accompaniment to the pizza and the tiramisu was a fantastic ending to a romantic night. Loved the warm lighting and candles, and the heart shaped pizza was super cute!

This is a super romantic space and the vibes are definitely there! We ordered the Caesar salad and the Buffalina pizza. The salad was not chopped and mixed so for those not a fan of cutting giant lettuce leaves, don’t get this!

The pizza was severely undercooked. Initially we thought it was due to too much olive oil in the dough but it was just undercooked.

Services was pretty slow and they seemed overwhelmed.

so. here we go. apologies for the adhd review. big feelings. i was with my person to go and try new things/restaurants in Seattle during one of our many night adventures. originally planned to go to a nearby spot, but it was very full, and we were hoping for a more casual atmosphere. enter Via Trunali. the *gorgeous* atmosphere siren-sung us through the door(!) atmosphere for days. gorgeous dark woods and brick. truly a lovely place to view while eating. we ordered a pizza and a couple of salads, including a caeser, and a charcuterie board. here’s where it gets fun. the caeser.. how do I explain this(?) they literally just lincoln-logged romain leaves on a plate, cut *slices* of parmesan and laid that criss-cross over the romain as if either A.) you’d described how to make a romain salad to someone who had never understood or heard the CONCEPT of a salad before, or B.) i needed to search the room for the practical joke camera. several cut sardines and a bit of caeser dressing adorned.. whatever this was. we both had a good laugh at that, and I ate it with my hands cause even if i wanted to, a fork and knife provided by the restaurant wouldn’t and didn’t cut it (excuse the pun). and the bar stools.. the ratio to proportional height of the gorgeous old-wood bar with relation to you, the guest, was as if you’d been brought back to the child’s table at a family friend’s Thanksgiving dinner. to drive the point home, the edge of the entire bar has a rather large wooden bumper. this combined with the stools height(s) just led to a weird/uncomfortable eating experience. charcuterie board was fine. pizza.. hmm. for the price, and the fact that it was coming out of an actual pizza oven I just.. it took so long to come out, and more than 3 other people’s pizzas were ordered and came out before ours. I think the bartender forgot about our food, and then scrambled to get it going. been there buddy, but lame. pizza was just.. meh. nothing to write home about. all in total we spent about $150 for food that just.. anyways. “meh” experience.
