Red Hood
Ordered Alfredo pasta and pizza with a 2 liter on DoorDash. No 2 liter. Pasta had normal red sauce. Figure, oh well. Not the end of the world. Start to eat the pizza and there was burnt paper all over the bottom of half the pizza. Which I ate a few bites of before processing the chemical flavor. But not quick enough to stop my 5 year old from eating a whole piece. I don’t know why I tried to order from here again. Zio Johnos is great just a little further.. Never have any issues. This place has constant issues and moody workers. I did get a full refund from DoorDash. But I won’t be returning.

The main issue was the food. The mozzerla sticks we ordered were too greasy. Then our pizza was UNDERCOOKED. My wife and I took one bite and knew something was off. Sure enough, there was raw dough just beneath the toppings.
We simply asked for a refund and found a much better place down the road. I had heard Sofias was worth trying…guess I misheard…

We ordered the Pizza Burger and a side of fries and the family feast for take out. My sandwich was not even luke warm. It was cold. We were only going 2 miles away from the store. The peppers and onion were not only completely raw but were very large chunks. And I mean chunks. The fries were OK at best. The garlic bread was soggy and relatively bland. Unfortunately this experience has made me not want to return.

We ordered Chicken Alfredo. It was so salty that we could not eat it. We have ordered this before and it was delicious, but not this time! Yuck!

We had a large order. All was over cooked. The bread and calzones were burnt. Calzones were mostly dough and large pieces of uncooked vegetables, with little to no cheese. The fettuccine was scorched to the bottom of the container.

Absolutely horrible service and food. First and last time we will be there. The Turkey “delux” sandwich tastes like cucumbers, there was only 2 extremely thin slices of turkey, and overwhelmed with sauce. I got a gondola WITH 1 SLICE OF CHEESE CUT IN HALF AND USED AS 2! Will NEVER be back, EVER! We were nearby and thought we’d give it a try, but we really regret spending $14 and change there. It tastes like the turkey was dry and they soaked it in water from cucumbers and the taste bled through.
Also, instead of being treated with a “hello” or “how are you”, I was rudely asked “for here or to go” and the look on her face made me say to go.
Bread was meh. Not horrible, but not great. I definitely only tasted bread, I had to add my own sauces to compensate.
1st is the gondola, 2nd is the turkey “deluxe”.
I’d give 0/5 if I could.

SPAMMERS! I NEVER gave them my email address. Nor have I given their credit card processing company Square my email address or agreed to any “promotional” emails. Yet somehow they got it and Via Sofia’s started using it to spam me. Do NOT give business to those people or they’ll start spamming you too.
If you’re already receiving spam from them, make sure to report it to your email provider. The more reports are sent, the quicker the email provider will blacklist their domain so more people don’t get spammed by them.
Just because you can send spam to someone who never signed up for it, doesn’t mean you should.

A delicious restaurant. Cheap, but good food, and portions that were big enough to satisfy, but small enough to not be overboard. Staff was friendly, and a nice atmosphere

It use to be called Zio Johno’s but they’ve changed it to Via Sofia’s. Well what ever they decide to call them selves, the recipes don’t seem like they’ve changed so they’re still just as good. It’s a casual dark lit space which is surprising to me since they’ve got some big windows for natural lighting. The walls are decorated with cool art you can admire while you eat, at least I assume. Personally I’ve never dined in before, I always take it to go. I live bout 10 minutes away from Via’s so I’m very happy when the food is still hot. Good job with keeping the food hot. Almost every time I go, I just get their spaghetti or tortellini with garlic bread. Their sauce is very flavourful and combined with the garlic bread, yuumm! The sauce and bread both have this satisfying sweetness that just makes every bite pop. Unfortunately, ounce in a while I’ll get bread that was probably left over from the night before so it can be a bit tough. Overall great place for Italian with great service that is helpful and fast.
