My boyfriend and I went here for valentine’s day and the food and service was amazing! We did the tasting menu and it was a perfect amount of food for the both of us. Everything was well seasoned and the flavors all worked well together.

Via Locusta has an extensive happy hour menu that I was excited to try, but it was unfortunately a bit of a let down.

Walking in, I absolutely loved the interior. Lots of bar seating and the lighting is perfect for an intimate gathering or date night. Our server, Billie, was also very attentive!

Starting with the good – our drinks and focaccia were on point. The valencia ($7) and hugo spritz ($8) were balanced, not overly sweet but strong enough. The focaccia with whipped honey butter made me stop my conversation. Salty, sweet, all the goodness… I loved it!

The misses were unfortunately the rest of the meal – zucchini, fritto misto and agnolotti. The agnolotti was not pretty to the eye and did not taste much better. It was room temperature and very bland, I didn’t taste the truffle or porcini. The fritto misto was chewy and not fried enough. The zucchini also only tasted like the batter, I couldn’t taste anything fresh about it.

It’s a shame because there are so many options on their happy hour menu at reasonable prices. I unfortunately do not see myself coming back here though.

Tried 3 different pasta dishes, all tasted pretty yummy. Focaccia was amazing but burrata appetizer wasn’t. Chicken main course was good, nothing special. Drinks were my favorite part. Service was great, vibe was fun. Only complain is the single bathroom in the restaurant.

Overall, a great dining experience. This is one of our favorite dinner spots in the Philly area. Their happy hour offers cocktails at an excellent value, I highly recommend the Valencia. The food is superb, and if you want to sample a bit of everything, I highly recommend the tasting menu. It’s generous enough to satisfy two hungry people. Pair it with their happy hour specials, and you’ll enjoy a fantastic meal at a great price.

I went here for the first time after hearing a lot about Via Locusta. It was delicious. I got the Cacio e Pepe and my only complaint was that I didn’t have enough time to enjoy it because I ate it so fast. I tried my partner’s mafaldine with pork and it was also amazing. The focaccia was interesting, it felt more like a large roll but still yummy. I’ll be there again.

I celebrated my birthday here with my girlfriends, and we were not disappointed! The whole evening was absolutely lovely. The drinks were refreshing and beautifully made—just what we needed to kick off the celebration.
The food was equally impressive. The pasta was to die for—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beet salad was fresh and vibrant, and the mozzarella dish was light, refreshing, and full of flavor.
From start to finish, everything was spot-on. I’ll definitely be back—this place made my birthday feel extra special!

Had a date night here while visiting Philly, we decided to do the chefs tasting and took our waiter’s recommendations for the dishes. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, very romantic but also still relaxed and fun. We will definitely be returning!

Bruv, we sat in the outdoor seating when it was 15f. Because they just started the heater, it was so cold that the homeless guy on the steam vent is warmer than us. Great food, and makes me appreciate how fortunate I am.

Initially I made our reservation for a party of 8 incorrectly, but when I called, they were super accommodating and got us in right away. We got the private dining space, which was upstairs with a viewing window of the restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing. Our waiter, David, was so awesome. I ordered the tagliatelle and it was phenomenal. I also had a bite of the focaccia, which was really great, too. There was a mixup with a single dish and it was corrected right away. Genuinely could not ask for a better dining experience.

Very pleasantly surprised by the value of the chef’s tasting. As long as you can agree with with a dining companion among all the tempting choices, you can assemble an unforgettable meal. Just choose wisely, as you can end up quite full by the pasta course. Don’t be a pig with the focaccia. The meal was well-paced, but by the time dessert is finished, you’ll be very aware how much delicious grub you have just consumed. Outside was very comfortable, and felt European. Noise level inside was higher than we are used to, but lively people having fun.
