I came here on a weekday, so I did not get to experience their brunch or dinner service. Not many pastries were left, so I assumed they had already sold out. The labels were taken down, so I had to ask what each item was. Someone was sweeping the floor and came over to help me, but he did not wash his hands first. I hate to sound picky, but I do think handwashing is important for anyone working in a restaurant.
That aside, the coffee was amazing and the pastries were excellent, which made me determined to return for brunch or dinner. I eventually came back for dinner and wanted to try everything, but my company was not very hungry, so we chose one appetizer and a pizza. Both were phenomenal and made me even more determined to return with someone who is hungry and enjoys trying new things.
The staff is attentive, cheerful, and very knowledgeable. Everyone works efficiently, and there is a strong sense of teamwork. It was genuinely great to feel that kind of positive energy in an industry that can be demanding and stressful. I cannot wait to come back and finish what I started.

Such an amazing experience! The food was delightful and beautiful! The staff was very kind and helpful. The drinks were stellar. Cozy place! I highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s smaller so reservations absolutely recommended.

One of my favorite restaurants in Boston and some of the best Italian food I’ve had! I take everyone who visits here and the food never disappoints – it’s simply outstanding.
I’ve been here for brunch and dinner, and my favorites are the eggplant parm, braised short ribs, potatoes, and their pastries, especially the pistachio and almond croissants. I also love the frittata calabrese and the crostata. You can’t go wrong with any of these!
The owner, Stefano, is warm and friendly and the service is great each time we visit.
Will continue to come here for years.

What a hidden gem! We were looking for a good brunch and found Via Cannuccia on google maps and boy were we happy we did! The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but cozy and cute inside. It’s the perfect chef owned local gem that is hard to find in Boston these days. The food was creative, fresh and delicious. I had “pasta” that was actually eggs and hubby had the short rib hash. We also shared a perfectly buttery, flaky, fresh chocolate croissant. They had a pastry counter that rivaled those we saw in Paris, fresh home made bread (we didn’t try it this time) and the service was wonderful. Our server was helpful explaining the menu and helping us decide what to get (not easy!).
Now we need to go there for dinner.

We walked in with no reservation and the manager was very welcoming and accommodating. He made a table for us which was very sweet. The service from the staff was excellent. The food was amazing and tasted really fresh. I would definitely come back 10/10.

A neighborhood restaurant that makes you immediately feel like it’s YOUR neighborhood no matter where you walk in from. We were nearby and stopped by for brunch and bread. The frittata was seriously inspirational and the potatoes weren’t home fries they were a dream. If you didn’t think a frittata could be inspirational – just try it. We will be back for dinner. The only thing I do not like about Via Cannuccia is that it is not closer to my house.

I had heard good things about the croissants here so i stopped in for a chocolate croissant and it did not disappoint. Definitely one of my favorites I’ve had in the Boston metro.
I need to come back to try their other pastries and their mushroom pizza. Will definitely return and also tell nearby friends to try out Via Cannuccia.

This place is a hidden gem! I’ve been here twice for dinner and once for a quick breakfast & coffee. The chef and owner are authentic and put a lot of attention to what they serve. It’s best to put down a reservation because there aren’t a lot of tables and gets busy. I love telling people about this place, the food is 10/10.

My gf and I went for dinner and loved everything about this place. The atmosphere was great. The staff was incredible. So attentive and welcoming and efficient. My friend has a glass of wine and I got a lemondrop martini. We got the fried lasagna app on special, mussels, short ribs pasta, and the prosciutto burrata pizza. Everything was amazing! We also got a chocolate mascarpone cake and I got a cappuccino. There was not a single bite we didn’t enjoy. One of our new fave spots. Can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful restaurant. The food and service are top notch. But the manager was extra special. His name is George and he was so kind and respectful to my wife Susan. She has a serious handicap and walking is extremely difficult for her. George told me to let him know when we were there. He came right out and took my wife safely into the restaurant. When we went to sit down at our table. There were a placard in front of both of us saying “Happy 43rd Anniversary”along with both of our names imprinted on those placards as well. We weren’t seated more than 1 minute and this gentleman comes to our table with a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Who does things like this??? What a magical evening and it was due to this man George. Our server was top notch as well and his name is Neil. This was our very first time going to this restaurant and it definitely won’t be our last. Can’t wait to make a visit back there!!!!
