As I set just one foot inside the area I was already greeted by an older gentleman who might be the boss/owner of the restaurant. Not gonna lie, I was pretty intimidated coming in here because the staff are very well dressed and here I am in a sports coat, hoodie, jeans and sneakers. The area as a while looked immaculate, clearly above my pay grade and I joked to him about it as he led me to my table. He also jested if I also have the money to afford the food here. No worries fam, I’m good on that. As I chose my place to sit at, a waiter came only mere seconds and took my order. She was very nice and accommodating as everything was served to me in a timely manner. The whole area was running like clock work as if it had that feel you’re dining in an upper echelon establishment in NYC, just taking in the atmosphere as Brazilian tunes reverberate through the restaurant from smooth jazz to bossa nova.
My meal for the day, Bife á Parmegiana which is steak parm with Spaghetti and I had that with Iced tea which is unsweetened by the way so make sure you request sugar if you prefer yours sweet but I’m pretty sure the waiter like mine would ask you if you want sugar to go with your tea. Anyway back to the steak and pasta. I first thought it was a bit on the small side but it’s surprisingly filling. The Steak has some chew to it but the taste is certainly there with that mix of breading and parmesean cheese to give the Brazilian staple steak more of an Italian taste. Spaghetti was done very well bordering close to al dente. Meal altogether came up to $40 and gave a solid $10 tip for how comfortable I felt in the whole setting. This place is a definite revisit for me, though of course with what you get here, expect to pay top dollar for it. It’s certainly worth it.
Recently, my older son threw me a surprise birthday party at Via Brasil. We had just finished seeing Alddain on Broadway when he said, “I got a surprise for you!” He called and changed my reservation; the restaurant was entirely booked, but they accommodated his request. He informed them it was my birthday and helped him plan a family party. The effort made me feel loved and appreciated, highlighting how special Via Brasil is for our family moments.
The food was excellent, and the drinks were terrific. They were not watered down like most places. The owner visited our table throughout the dinner, making sure we got what we requested.
Hopefully, for the next family dinner party, I’ll have my 5-year-old filha from Brasil, and she can teach the waiter a thing or two in Portuguese.
I loved this place!!
15/15 atmosphere, service and food
I had dinner with my friend at this friendly Brazilian restaurant recently, great service and good food.
My Shrimp with Hearts of Palm in Pineapple Sauce was flavorful, and my friend enjoyed the saucy Chicken Stroganoff with Mushrooms!
The staff is just as wonderful as the food. They are friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. The service is warm and efficient, creating such a great dining experience.
If you’re looking for excellent Brazilian cuisine with outstanding service, Via Brasil is a must-visit! ✨
The bar serves amazing, authentic caipirinhas, and the garsons (waiters) are so warm and friendly they’ve become like friends. The food is excellent, top quality, and at a fair price.
It’s the perfect spot to impress a date, bring your mom, family, or kids, and also a great place to enjoy with friends or coworkers. Every time I go, I feel closer to my culture.
I truly love Via Brasil—thank you for everything! ❤️
