Limited options in town, very friendly and cool vibe. Smoking allowed in the bar area, but they have a back dinning room that’s smoke free. I got the fish and chips special, it was ok. Fries were great. Husband loved his Philly cheesesteak. Would go again but just order something different. If you’re not a member you just have to sign the guest book when you walk in.

Bartender is rude and food is horrible. Walked in and looked around for a menu and didn’t see one so asked the bartender, “may I have a menu please.” Rude lady at the bar, in the snobbiest way possible said, “um can you sign in PLEASE..” Then I said no problem and went to sign in and she said, you need to put me (her) as your sponsor like she was granting me access. I could be wrong but I didn’t think a combat veteran needed a sponsor. But she neglected to ask if I was military, say hi when I walked in or anything as I’m walking around the bar. Isn’t this supposed to be a friendly, welcoming, military pub? Ordered the steak dinner. Absolute rubber garbage. As I’m eating, a group of vets was sitting in the back and discussing what they wanted to go order. This rude lady walks all the way to the back to their table just to tell them, “I saw you guys signed in and just came directly back here, if you guys are just sitting here waiting for someone to come to the table, they aren’t coming, you need to come up to the front to order.” Everyone was like yeah…we were just looking over the menu… and then she backtracks and is standing over their table saying well some people just sit back here waiting so I just wanted to let you guys know, no one is coming to take your order back here. Just a straight up rude way to talk to people in your restaurant/ bar, especially in a veterans bar I’ve never seen this attitude. The upper bar where you have to order and where she said I needed to wait to get my food just reeks of cigarette without ventilation. Then I found out I could actually wait out back in the non smoking dining area because the cook was calling orders back there. No idea how this place gets the best ratings in town. Go anywhere else. Everywhere else has extremely friendly employees, smells better and has way better food. This was the last place I tried in town and the absolute worst. There’s only a handful of restaurants/ bars in town so it’s not hard to try them all and know where to go and this is not the place.

The food was good. Average for sure. I had the hamburger. My wife had the BLT. 3 critiques. The onion rings were not crunchy. I requested crunchy. Asking for a burger to be well done is not a ” special request”. We did not appreciate asking for water only to be given a “we only serve it in bottles” and charged 2 bucks per bottle. It’s pretty much self serve so we definitely over tipped. Whatever hype you read is just that.

Perfectly fine BLT and a choice of comfort food. Regular beers and a nice Amber Bock. Awesome no-nonsense server. Great atmosphere of military memorabilia. Felt very safe.

Great place! We had a pretty large takeaway order and we were waiting only 25 min. The food was amazing! We ordered the burgers and pizza – all of them were huge and the prices were really good. If we visit Beatty again, we will definitely go back again to that place 🙂

Waited 40 mins before informed they gave our food away, and that they no longer had tomatoes for BLT. After waiting another 20 mins for our order to be remade they forgot my side

If you’ve got some callouses and always wondered what the Salty Spitoon was like, look no further. We loved our dinner and will definitely return if we’re in the area.

My first visit to a VFW was a wonderful experience. As a foreigner (And a veteran from a different background) we were welcomed by gracious strangers and left with new friends. Thank you, it was a privelage to visit.
