We met my in-laws at Veva’s on Potomac for their Thanksgiving buffet, choosing it as a halfway point between Pennsylvania and Virginia. The location is beautiful, and the inside of the building is just as impressive. It was warm, spacious, and perfect for a holiday meal.

As for the buffet, it offered your typical catered-style items: a mix of brunch dishes and classic Thanksgiving staples. The dessert table was large and had a nice variety. We had one of the last reservations of the day, and I do think timing affected the experience. The food was good, but not great. A few dishes, like the mac and cheese, clearly sat for a while. I honestly believe if we had come earlier, we would’ve had a different impression of the food quality.

The dessert table also showed some signs of being at the end of service, but still had good options.

The staff, however, was excellent (well most)! A special shoutout to the Thanksgiving Day bartender—she was friendly, attentive, and very apologetic after an uncomfortable interaction with another staff member. When I asked about drinks, a gentleman (who appeared to be a manager) chimed in with a surprisingly negative and harsh response toward myself and another guest. It created a very awkward moment, and even the bartender was embarrassed by his tone. Based on that interaction alone, I’d hesitate to return if I were in the area again. Shoutout to the hostess as well, she was great.

Solid spot to sit down and have a drink, by far the best atmosphere to enjoy a drink. We didn’t eat, a little underwhelmed with their dinner menu but they do have a great draft beer and drink menu. Inviting atmosphere as well as outdoor seating

TERRIBLE FOOD! Ordered the streak and it was a mess. Wife got the salmon wellington. Both were inedible and gross. Staff was friendly but we were the only ones in at 7 or a Friday. Overall cannot recommend at all.

Update Feb 2026: Staff are fine but the food at best is garbage and worst is inedible. Owners spoke of new chef but I cannot believe a chef made any of this food or built the menu for anything but price or profit. If going out I cannot and will not reccomend

I love the food here and atmosphere. They have two new great chefs so I highly recommend anyone that tried it months ago to try it again! They have great weekly specials. If you’re a bar person theirs is very comfortable and the beer is cold and cocktails are so good

Nice place. Confusing because it used to be Bulls and Bears, and some of the signs are still there from B&B. We ordered the eggplant bruschetta, stuffed pepper soup, Chesapeake chicken, and crab cakes. The bruschetta was heavy on balsamic drizzle, and drowned out the taste of everything else. It was also $11 for four small slices. It seemed a bit overpriced. The soup looked like chili, but as soon as we had a bite, it was clear it was stuffed pepper soup. It was delicious. My two year old destroyed it. My wife had the crab cakes. She is usually critical of crab cakes. She enjoyed these ones very much. It wasn’t overloaded with Old Bay seasoning which is our usual experience in the area. Very meaty, so less filler. She did say the risotto was slightly undercooked, but was creamy and flavorful. My chicken Chesapeake was fantastic. It was on a bed of risotto. Unlike my wife, I thought the risotto was cooked perfect. The chicken, maybe I didn’t read the description, but it was breaded and fried. What a great surprise. Also, to whoever cooked it, it can be difficult not to overcook a chicken breast when it is deep fried. The cook was spot on. It then had a crab cake that was on top of that. Again, not much old bay in it. I prefer that. I like to taste the crab. Mine, like my wife’s, was very meaty. It has been our experience that places use more breadi g to cut cost. This place did not do that for us. It exceeded our expectations for crab cakes. All of that was topped with a cream sauce, that again, was delicious and paired well with everything on the plate. It really drew it all together.
The bruschetta just seemed out of place. It was not priced as properly as the other parts of our meal, and was heavy on balsamic drizzle. The confusion from the signs made it a little difficult to understand we were at the right spot because the entrance is inside of another building. Overall we loved our food, and the prices were reasonable, and the taste of the food made us appreciate our experience. We had a two year old with us that was completely welcomed, even thought the aesthetic has a more classier vibe to it. Highly recommend.

At here with a group of 10. Drinks , appatizers and main course was spot on. I had wings and frys and the best wings next to upstate New York. Service keep our drinks topped and continued to ask what else we need but not pushy. Would definitely come back and don’t sleep on this place.

We took some out of town guests for dinner and each had a different entree. They were all excellent. My husband and I have been for lunch a couple times and the food was very good. First time for dinner since they changed hands, but we were very pleased and will definitely return.

The food was fair at best. We Got the Crab quesadilla had hardly any crab, nothing fancy. Starter salad was on a tiny plate. Main meals came out within 5mins. Hadn’t even finished salad or app. Got the Crusted Salmon w/risotto, risotto was still crunchy, Salmon was not crusted, and French style Green beans from a can and tasted like they tried to sear them in a skillet to add flavor. Bartender didn’t know beers on tap. Bar had paperwork on it and an Arby’s cup until the manager came and threw it out.

First time here since it changed hands from Bulls & Bears. Did not disappoint unlike Bulls & Bears. Ricotta and bruschetta was delicious as well as the Chicken Parm. Chicken was tender and juicy.
