We had heard really good things about this restaurant so went for our daughter’s 20th birthday. There was a very nice full bar for alcohol and coffee, which is what you see as soon as you walk in.

Nestled in the historic downtown square, Metro 1985 is an upscale and yet casual dining experience. Customer service and staff are professional and helpful! The food has a southern flair. We loved the Shrimp and Grits, and butter biscuit paired with Prosecco!

We had one of the best appetizers, meals, and desserts we’ve ever had here. Absolutely delicious from beginning to end. My wife and I both had trouble deciding on what to order and the wait person clued us in to what she recommended which turned out to be perfect. Can’t recommend Vetro enough. I spent my 21st birthday here for the first time with my sweet boyfriend! The atmosphere is top notch, intimate yet social, classy and unique. We absolutely loved our first visit so much, that a full week later we came back for seconds! Our first visit, we both got the steak. Hands down, best steak I have had in my whole life. Last night, I got the fish special, Wahoo. I wanted to lick the plate clean…. No kidding. My boyfriend tried the pappardelle with bolognese sauce and LOVED it! Both times we’ve gone, we’ve gotten the calamari. So fresh and so GOOD! I’ve sneaked the remaining house made marinara with a spoon both times… it is incredible. The blood orange margarita was great! We have had the pleasure of being waited on by a new waitress, Alex, who is a delight! I think we might have to request her for our next visit! Do yourself a favor and book that table! You won’t regret it.
