Just moved to the area and I can’t tolerate Papa John’s, Dominos or Little Cesar pizza. This place was AWESOME So glad I went exploring. Got the 2 cheese slices w/ soda lunch special for $8.99+ tax. I’ll be coming back for sure! Delicious!

“Great Cashier, But Serious Hygiene Issues”
I gave this restaurant a second chance, but staff still handled food without washing hands or wearing gloves after touching phones and walls. That’s unacceptable.
The only positive was the gentleman at the register—he was polite, professional, and quickly issued a refund while apologizing and even calling the manager. Unfortunately, good customer service can’t make up for poor food safety. I won’t be back. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!

On the toast app it’s $19 for a regular pizza plus whatever toppings you’d like to add, if you want to customize for example half pepperoni only, you have to order the specialty pizza which is $24. So they charge you $5 just to be able to specify you only want a topping on half the pizza. Not to mention a 4% “administration fee”. I’m all for supporting local business but the business has to have reasonable prices and $37 for a pizza is a massive ripoff.

Probably the best pizza in the area. The prices are a bit too high for what it is though and service could be a bit better. Solid neighborhood place.

First time & last to buying a Pizza & garlic roll. When getting home we were enjoying the pizza when I notice a black hair stuck between the cheese and bread… what a inconvenient experience. Never again eat there

Today I was transported to another planet. I tried the Contadina specialty pizza. The sadest moment was when I picked up the last slice. I walked in and order the Contadina at the counter. I was created by beautifully kind girl. She was patient with my indecisiveness and then I finally concluded that this was my pizza. WOW what a decision the Contadina is made with a garlic sauce instead of tomato. They put Italian sausage , fresh basil , artichokes and not sure what else. I enjoyed every last bite by my chubby self of a 12” 6 slice pizza. If you can’t tell I highly recommend this specialty pizza. The crust was perfectly toasted and crunchy. I’m sure their other menu items are just as spectacular. They have been there for many years.

Just had lunch at Vesuvio Pizzeria and it was great! The pizza was fresh, cheesy, and had a perfectly crispy crust. The atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and quick. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

I returned to Vesuvio in Bayridge after many years, having moved from Brooklyn years ago. The occasion was a small party of 16 to celebrate the christening of my granddaughter. What a pleasant surprise as they went beyond our expectations! First and foremost the food was plenty and very good!!!! We had several shared family style appetizers and pasta with each of us ordering individual dinners from a choice of 4 entrees. The food was perfectly timed coming out in intervals allowing everyone to enjoy and digest and chat in between courses. Ryan, our server, was excellent handling our crowd (ranging from 1 year to 72 years and everything in between) with ease and interest. He made himself available and present the entire time. Everyone enjoyed their chosen entree and the appy’s were all delicious. To our surprise the cannoli filled cake was beyond good…..it was bakery quality great! We requested to be seated in a small open spaced private area away from the main seating if it was available that day and they were able to set that up for us! It was like a private party. The cost for all we had worked out well and was very fair.
I am happy to say although many things have closed or changed since I left Brooklyn, Vesuvio is still there and still rocking it. I highly recommend it if you are thinking of a party or get together or just a dinner. I will certainly be back the next time I am in the area.
