My mom and I had a lovely, light and healthy lunch while enjoying a great conversation in this thoughtful restaurant with enough space to talk but also watch the game. The chicken noodle soup was a classic and flavorful and the broccoli side was perfectly prepared. The staff was helpful and attentive and the chef even checked on our meal. What a great place!

We visit Coralville a handful times a year for Iowa football games and visit our son. We had never gone to this restaurant until recently (11/7/25). We are sad that it took us so long to visit this restaurant as we really enjoyed all the food we ordered. The only drawback was the food and drinks ($7.25 for draft beer) were a bit pricey. I have no issue paying a big higher for good food but draft beer in this area for over $7 is a bit high in my opinion.
Either way we will be back for their food. The Philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries were the best combo I ever had. Of course I have never had one in Philly but for the midwest…best one I ever ordered. Sweet potato fries…I always order at other restaurants and these were the best. My wife enjoyed her wood fire pizza. The Jiyu sliders…fantastic. Just wish they had a bit more meat.

Food was great, it was my first time dining at Vesta. My wife and I haven’t had a date night in a long time and Vesta did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, we ordered the Ahi Tuna Crisps for our app and it was flavorful and the tuna was seared perfectly. We also ordered the Mushroom Lover pizza and the Elk Reuben. Everything was tasty, seasoned perfectly, and very delicious. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be coming back to dine in again.

All of the food was okay except the mussels were really yummy. It took so long to get our food we had to take it to go bc my daughter needed to go to sleep. I was super excited about the menu and atmosphere, but was let down. Maybe the kitchen was understaffed for night? Too many good places in Iowa City to give another chance.

My 2nd time here, 12-9-2023 went here for dinner. Ordered the same thing and wasn’t near as good. Wellington was still good. Ice tea taste bad. They agreed it was not very good. They loose 2 stars for this. I believe in consistency. Service & atmosphere was good. Other 3 people in party said it was cold inside.

We had a group of 10 people and we all had a great experience. Sat up at the bar to wait for the rest of our party to arrive, the drinks and bartender were both great. I ordered a Vanilla Moscow Mule and it was spectacular. They use Cock & Bull Ginger Beer, which is my absolute favorite! The server when we moved to our table was very friendly, attentive and helpful when it came to knowledge of the menu and suggestions- none of us had ever been there. We got several appetizers (all of which were amazing) and I ended up ordering the MahiMahi which was SPECTACULAR! I also thought it was great that they have a special menu for anyone who is gluten free, which o thought was great. In our party we had a couple special allergy needs (shellfish and gluten) our server knew off of the top of his head which dishes both could or couldn’t have. Love that. 10/10 would recommend!

We just had a great meal here tonight. We started with the Wellington bites, and then my wife had the salmon BLT, and I had the wagyu sirloin. Everything tasted great.
In addition, our server, Carter, was very friendly.

Food is marginal and not worth the price. It’s getting to a point, better quality food is best at home.
Lettuce was supposed to be bib; to accompany the wedge. In result I received mediocre old iceberg lettuce.
Definitely not returning.

We tried several appetizers and the favorite was the beef Wellington bites. We ordered the pork spring rolls, pizza, Vulcan island chicken burger (it’s grilled) but it was the Vulcan shrimp that stole the show.
