Enjoyable dining experience for our group and sort of a hidden gem to anyone outside the local area.
Inviting cozy interior, wonderful service, and well thought out menu.
Our group started with sourdough focaccia and suppli. The focaccia was perfect and the suppli just right.
Mains were the beef shawarma (special), orecchiette, hot harvest pizza (overpowering garlic flavor), and the burger.
The burger was perfect and the fries over the top good. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees.
We will be back!

We went in with guarded expectations, as the recent photo they posted of their chicken sandwich seemed almost too good to be true. Given North Yarmouth isn’t exactly known for their food scene, but the restaurant is only a 15 min drive from us, we figured we’d give it a shot. HOLY COW WAS IT SO MUCH BETTER THAN WE HOPED. Gina, our server, was absolutely fantastic and fun and funny and gave great recommendations and even warned us that the mezze plate was huge (it was) when we ordered quite a few things. I had the draft cocktail I had was fantastic (“frutta piccante” was fruity, spicy, and wonderful) and she had a cider she’d never had before, and their tap list was surprisingly extensive and varied. Then the food started coming out, and plate after plate exceeded expectations. The tahini caesar was classic, flavorful and nice, and a subtle departure from just another caesar salad without it trying too hard. The suppli (fried risotto ball w/ mozzarella) was great, and my partner described it as “a high end mozzarella stick.” Then the fries came, and I’d say this was the highlight of the meal. We got them “battata hara style” which means they have cilantro, chili, and garlic on top, and they were immediately my new favorite fries in Maine. Perfectly crispy, sufficiently salty, and the battata hara made them unique and *fantastic*…and the giant plate of fries was only eight dollars, including the battata hara upgrade. Wild. The mezze plate came out and Gina was right: it was huge. My only suggestion was that there were tons of crudités, but not enough hummus (there is also tzatziki, green goddess, toum, tabouli, and honey-topped feta), but I’d hoped for more hummus as the staple of the plate, but I still have zero complaints given the amount of food and variety for the price. The chicken sandwich arrived and we were again blown away. Sometimes things look so good in a photo that the taste/texture/whatever can’t keep up with the hopes, and the sandwich was every bit as good as we’d hoped. The technique was perfect (both crispy and juicy at the same time), the seasoning was spot on, the toum on top added immensely, and the bun (house-made) was so incredibly soft and wonderful and impressive. I know I’m speaking with a whole lot of superlatives, but we immediately agreed that this is our favorite new spot and that we plan to come back often. On a cold Thursday night in January, the place was almost full (and it’s not a tiny restaurant), so this speaks volumes about how well this restaurant has been received, and hopefully ensures it’ll be around for a long time. While still full the next morning, I’m embarassed to admit that we already talked about going back for our own personal plates of fries and a beer tonight for a little TGIF fun. Seriously…just go.

Edit: it was so good we quite literally went back the next night, and got the fries and the chicken sandwich all over again, and it was every bit as good. To top it off, we spoke with one of the owners (Mike) for quite a while, and he’s as friendly, kind, and genuinely passionate about what they’re doing as one could hope, and the rest of the staff continued to be beyond nice and personable. We will absolutely be regulars here.

A delightful experience in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
From the reservation process to the greeting at the door the evening was a pleasant success. I have eaten in this building in several of its iterations: Stones, Trudy Birds, and now Vesta. All have their own unique features; Vesta is clearly the best one yet.
The food: gluten free is available (I don’t know if the GF items are made in the same space as the regular flour items so can’t verify that for folks with Celiac) and all items are clearly marked. Our wait person was happy to explain any dishes with which we were unfamiliar and this led to trying a couple of items that were new to us. She also told us what several other dishes were as they went by on the way to their diner.
It was a fun evening; we admired the building and the changes that have been made over the years while we enjoyed our food. I know we will return!

This is clearly a local favorite! We were lucky to snag a high-top around 5 PM, but by 6 PM the place was fully booked, with only limited outdoor seating available. Plan ahead and make a reservation!

The reviews were right, you must start with the supplì. At least one per person. We could have easily enjoyed more!

The rigatoni was carbonara heaven. Thick noodles and a savory sauce. Exactly what I was craving. The focaccia was soft and delectable; my only wish was that it had been served warm.

My husband truly enjoyed the kibbeh bil laban. It might be the first time a meal was so filling that he didn’t finish, truly a value!

The service was impeccable. We’ll 100% be back to try more of the menu!

From the moment we walked it when we were warmly welcomed. The food was fabulous. The different flavors and ingredients come beautifully together. We’ve come all the way from Germany and this stop was so worth it! We will come back.

My friends and I stopped by for dinner and loved it. Vesta is a charming yet lively spot with friendly, welcoming staff and truly delicious food. The portions were generous with a nice artisan touch. We all ordered something different, but my shawarma with extra garlic sauce was excellent.

Dessert sealed the deal!! The baklava tiramisu was absolutely amazing. Live music added to the great atmosphere. Definitely add this place to your list…. I’ll be back!

Best meal I’ve had in Maine!! The halibut is the best we ever had! The service was incredible, the rigatoni was homemade and a perfect Al dente. The pizza has an incredibly high end pepperoni that melts in your mouth and their homemade dough was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant and you don’t need to drive to Portland to get incredible food!
