I really want this place to succeed , and I had been looking forward to its opening. I came on opening night with 3 friends. We ordered several dishes – the cod served in a banana leaf; the green curry chicken; a spicy beef. Overall the issues I noted include: the prices are high (higher than you would pay for a rather mediocre dish), the portions are small; food is overly salty and oily; and the restaurant interior is very loud due to loud music playing. It’s frustrating that this is what this Taiwanese chain (150+ locations) thinks Americans will put up with. Pluses: beautiful interior design – red wallpaper, beautiful furniture, beautiful glasses and flatware. The exception, a literal eyesore: the words “VERY THAI” lit up in the front of the restaurant, way too harsh on the eyes. That is a clue not to go in. The service was very attentive, the staff are lovely people. However, I wouldn’t go back for dinner again. We paid a lot of money and got almost no protein despite ordering 3 meat dishes. My dinner companions walked to Gelsons afterwards hoping to buy a piece of chicken or meat. We were very disappointed. I could see returning to sit at the bar and order their cocktails (which looked nice). I would rate the experience 2.5 stars out of 5, and my dinner companions agreed. For good Thai food, would recommend Natalee Thai or many other Thai restaurants in LA. I hope they read this honest review and do better.

Have been waiting it open since last year. The Thai foods are awesome! And they have fine dining level service! I will definitely go there again

Delicious! It comes with two jars of sauce (fish sauce and lemon sauce). Overall, it’s more intensely flavorful than what I’ve had in Taiwan.
However, on opening day, they didn’t have Mango sticky rice, Tom Yum soup, or cabbage yet.
