The food is small plates: really good chicken bites and the flatbread was warm and soft. The olives were very salty.
All in all, good place if you are into wines. The selection is wide, and looks like they run offers for members.
So I wouldn’t say don’t go there, but be prepared for an expensive night out. $60 for a wine flight + charcuterie becomes $88 once you pay the ‘fair wage charge,’ county tax, and a 20% tip. That’s a lot of money for drinks at a very casual place. I could go to a restaurant nearby and spend the same for wine with a full dinner. I still go to Verre sometimes when I want to enjoy a wine tasting, but it is definitely big night out money without the big night out experience.
I was warmly greeted and promptly presented with a menu despite a busy evening. I opted for a charcuterie board paired with the boom boom shrimp.
I was impressed with Lilly’s expertise, as she guided me through several wine recommendations, leading me to try the vino verde.
The lemon lime and green apple notes coupled with some of the best prosciutto assortment I’ve had, made me think I was on the coast of northern Portugal even in the dead of winter.
Highly recommend this place!
We often bring our three daughters, and they love it too—especially in winter when the patio becomes a magical winter wonderland with make-your-own s’mores. My middle daughter even calls it her favorite restaurant. The service is always warm and friendly, and it’s a great choice for lunch, happy hour, dinner, or brunch (with delicious biscuits and mimosas).
Verre Wine Bar is an absolute treasure in the heart of Arlington! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and upscale — ideal for everything from date nights to catching up with friends.
What truly sets Verre apart is its exceptional selection of wine. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or just beginning to explore, there’s something here for every palate. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and happy to offer thoughtful recommendations based on your preferences. I discovered a few new favorites thanks to their expert guidance!
The food menu is also worth mentioning — perfectly curated small plates that pair beautifully with the wines. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
Service was top-notch from start to finish. Attentive but never intrusive, and always with a smile.
Highly recommend Verre Wine Bar to anyone looking for a refined yet relaxed wine experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
