We went here for sopa de mondongo. But didn’t have so my mom order sopa de tortas de pescado, my husband order sopa de res and I order a mix salvarorian plate. I asked before I order if the pastelitos were from beef meatand foot rolls that they were beef but when I got them it was chix. I returned them and she brought them again the same thing chicken. Then she told me oh sorry we don’t beef why not say that from the beginning. Whatever then we asked for the check and tell me why the server has to stand right by the table to wait for the tip. I dislike spanish restaurant for this reason. Among order reasons but my pp suck. The pupupsa were bad. Horrible experience never go back here the quality has dropped by a lot. Food without toast.

The food here is really good, everything was flavorful and was not disappointed. I’ve been to places where they do not make their tortillas in house and that’s always such a turn off to me, the tortillas here were piping hot and soft. I ordered the Chorizo con huevo and had the atol chuco (sweet) and left super satisfied and full.
Veronica’s has two locations, Alexandria and Springfield. Both equally great.

You can taste the love put into the dishes, and I did notice that they were all made from scratch. There were many items on the menu that I have never tried before, and it was unique and refreshing to try new dishes.

I came all the way from Syracuse to eat at this cafe. I passed by once traveling and then came back for the food. It is so delicious. The bread is absolutely amazing. The peperecha is the best peperecha I’ve ever had, the atol has the consistency that they use to make way back when I was a child, more thicker, sweet, you can taste the corn, and not watered down or burnt. They make food that is meant to be delicious. I don’t feel like they’re being stingy with any amount of ingredients. Everything is so tasty. I would come back more often if I weren’t so far.

Really great food! Felt like I was eating a meal made from my mom.The ingredients felt quality and the portions were generous. My fiancé and I went in for Brunch on a Saturday. It was not busy and I was surprised because the food was delicious. We had 2 drinks (Tamarindo and Horchata) I had the Desayuno Hondureño and he had a Bagel Sandwich (eggs, melted cheese, bacon and ham) with Salchipapas. Everything was delicious! I am Mexican and my fiancé is Salvadorian and they had a section for everyone. I still need to try the bakery. The atmosphere is not the nicest, some nice paint and homey touches would make it seem more inviting. The customer service is okay not super friendly but not rude.

They took 40 minutes to prepare the food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food quality is horrible, they have lost the authentic taste.

The large serving of Lomo Saltado ($17.95) was very good. I had the Horchata ($2.65), and was given a generous sample of the fruit drink to try. No room for dessert, but I had the Tres Leches Cake ($4.25) last time and it was very moist and creamy. A good place to stop for lunch or, if you don’t have a lot of time, for dessert and coffee.
