Chicken kabobs on salad. The “salad” was nothing but dark romaine lettuce. I had asked for it to be “Greek” – out comes on a separate plate a pile of black olives and feta cheese…. The chicken kabobs were weak, four inch by inch slices of onions per stick, and for the green peppers, three cherry tomatoes. The yogurt sauce tasted like ranch (double checked to make sure ranch was not grabbed by accident, it happens). The redemption, the server was a nice young man. Who unfortunately is going to suffer from low tips because of the food.

Excellent pizza and very good service. Price was good. While I’m in Walkersville, I’d would definitely eat here again.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for more than 25 years even when it was (James Gang). It was a favorite place for family and friends. The food and service was always great. We do mostly carry-out nowadays but yesterday we went for dinner. After ordering we waited 50 minutes for the 3 subs, fries and onion rings to come out! There only 3 tables seated! I really felt sorry for the new young server since this was the owner’s issue. The subs were supposed to be the “Phillys” style. All that came out were subs that had a couple of table spoons of over-cook meat in a roll (see picture). No, onions, mayonnaise, no lettuce and no tomato. There was a dash of hots though. We sent the subs back for an over-haul! We also had 2 classes of water and a an Ice Tea. When we got the check we were charged $1.99 for 2 bottles of water! We weren’t aware we had to buy bottled water and didn’t even get the bottles! We even got charged $.50 for the hot peppers. I don’t like being nickel and dimed—just build it into the price!
Overall, it was the worst eat-in experience I’d had in a long time. The only one apologizing was the server…it should have been the manager/owner. I’m hoping this was just an aberration. We did tip the server $20 for a $50 meal.
Again…take-out has never been an issue.

Really surprised with how good this is. The pizza, we had the regular crust, was so genuine with: a perfect pizza crust with great crisp, slightly chewy texture, thin, with wood fired taste – all made fresh in house; great fresh tasting sauce also made in house. Our server explained nearly everything is made from scratch there. We also had the french fries which were perfectly crisp outside and tender inside. The Ceasar chicken wrap also got a thumbs up with chicken that tasted expertly grilled. Service was friendly and nice to have a server who was sincerely excited about the restaurant. He explained it’s under come under new management and they’ll be changing the name to Middletown Valley Pizza. It’s a place that deserves to be crowded.

Really happy with my order from Verona Pizzeria. The food was solid—exactly what you’d want from a neighborhood spot at this price point. Everything arrived hot, tasty, and just as expected. I especially appreciated how easy their delivery app (Slicelife) made the whole process—simple to use, no hassle, and everything showed up right on time. Definitely a reliable go-to for a low-stress pizza night.

I have been coming here relatively often the last 4 years and have loved the cheese steak, and especially the chicken cheese steak subs. Its always been consistent up until today, when they completely changed the bread. I’m not sure who makes it or where the subs come from now, but it really ruined the entire sandwich for me. Given how prices have gone up everywhere, and it cost me $30 for two large subs, I won’t be coming back if they continue to use this bread. I was really disappointed. Would be 5 stars otherwise bc the subs were exceptional the way it was made before the change.

Ordered from Verona tonight. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, cheese garlic bread, a cheese pizza, steak and cheese Stromboli, and a side salad. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they came out of the freezer. The garlic bread tasted exactly the same as the garlic bread you’d make in a microwave, and I’m pretty sure that’s where it was cooked. The pizza was so bad my six year old wouldn’t eat it. But the kicker is instead of a steak Stromboli we got a calzone filled with ground meat and unmelted cheese. The meat was clearly from a sack in a freezer because it was a puddle of grease on the undercooked bottom of the calzone. Absolutely revolting and wouldn’t have been worth it at half the price.

45 minute wait time for delivery, and the food finally showed up 2 hours later. Apparently when you order spaghetti and meatballs you need to clarify that you want sauce too, because the sauce didn’t make the trip. Meatballs and noodles, not what i expected. The chicken tenders looked fresh out of the microwave and tasted that way. This restaurant has steadily been going downhill since it changed from James Gang, and has finally hit rock bottom. Not getting my business anymore. Yuck.

Stopped in for lunch while in town. Menu offers a lot options and good sized portions. Didn’t try the pizza but good steak and cheese and moist chicken kabobs.

Our first time to visit, and we carried out. We ordered a classic calzone, the chicken pesto penne, and the chicken kabob. The portions are very generous, and all of us agreed that the food was tasty. It’s not fancy or gourmet, but seems like reliable food, well cooked, and reasonably priced. We’ll be back to try other options, especially those crepes!
