At Verona we pride ourselves on using fresh locally produced ingredients to bring our customers authentic and delicious Italian dishes. In pride of place in our open plan restaurant is the wood fired pizza oven that was imported from Verona, Italy. Open from 10am serving Gioconda coffee, pastries and cakes, through to late, there is something on offer at all times of day. Our lunch and evening menus consist of A-La-Carte meals prepared by our excellent chefs as well as wood fired pizzas. Veronas wine bar not only services the restaurant with local craft beers and Tasmanian wines but also offers an intimate space to connect with friends and work colleagues while you enjoy live music on the weekends.

The food, environment, and overall experience were all very good. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, and even though we didn’t have a booking, they still managed to find a table for us. I would definitely recommend reserving a table beforehand.

Out of everything we ordered, the tiramisu and strawberry mocktail were my favourites both were delicious. Even on a busy Tuesday night, the staff handled everything so smoothly. Truly appreciate their hard work and great service.

This place is a must-visit whenever you’re in Devonport!

Was recently witha group 0f 12 at Verona. The place was very busy for a Wednesday night, so you have to book . All meals where yummy and nice presented. Staff was was friendly and helpful. Myself had a Tiramisu for dessert, I ate a few all over the world but the one I had at Verona was by far the best . Next level. Definitely coming back. Keep up the good work

We had high expectations as the place looks fancy and nice, but we were disappointed.

We ordered takeaway: an Aglio e Olio (paid an extra $5 for extra prawns) and a Tropicana pizza. Before leaving the parking lot, I checked the food and noticed the pasta was wrong — it was bolognese. I went back into the restaurant and returned it. There was no apology; they simply handed me another takeaway box labelled “Aglio + prawns.”
When we got home, the pasta was very underwhelming. The Aglio e Olio was mushy and bland, no taste at all. After the initial order mistake and the quality of the dish, it really wasn’t the experience we were hoping for.
Hopefully this feedback helps improve both service and food quality.

Took Mum out for her Birthday and official retirement dinner.
Every meal was excellent, Chef’s Special Pork Belly was incredible (pictured), steaks were cooked exceptionally well, tasty & tender! Calamari is melt in your mouth soft!
Almond chicken is an absolute winner!

We dined here on a Tuesday night and it was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were incredible (thanks Charlize – you were fantastic!) and made the night. The food was great! We had an antipasti for entree that was a fantastic appetizer. We then moved to mains and had the steak and trout – both delicious! My partner had a dessert – the crème caramel which was also delicious. The meals and ordering were all times well and the food on the plate not only tasted great but looked good too. Wine and drink list was varied and we enjoyed a lovely Italian wine. One thing I did notice was the flowers on the table were all fresh. That would have taken some time but things like this just add the extra to the whole experience! Thanks Verona team – you rock! Recommended!

Chilli beef calzone? Definitely not chilli beef by any stretch. This was terrible and bland. I’m not exaggerating. More like tasteless beef and onion stew. Honestly, the saving grace from our visit, the service. Would we go back? Well, it’s overpriced too so have to think about that. My dining partner enjoyed the risotto and desserts of Lava cake and Creme Brûlée was quite good. Improve the calzone please it was unimpressive. $120 all up.

Went out for dinner with my family and had the best experience. All the meals were amazing. We ordered the steak, lasagne, vodka pasta, Arancini and Tiramisu. The service was exceptional. The new owners are definitely setting a high standard. The service was amazing and we will definitely be coming back.

Been here too many times to count, I am a FIEND for their lasagna and will stop at nothing to get my fix.

Staff a friendly, atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Have loved every meal I have had, pizza has a nice crust while not being too thick, toppings are perfection.

Lasagna is my personal favourite from the menu, however they do a very nice steak and sides too.

Desserts are decadent and luxurious!
Iced coffee is a unique experience that I haven’t experienced elsewhere, definitely worth a try
