Nice casual pizza place with tables upstairs in a loft like setting and also on the main level – bright, open, modern styling. Pizza was good – chewy crust, sea salt and nice cheese. Small bar area and good wine selection and cocktails. Quick, efficient, friendly service.

This is the best pizza napoletana in Cleveland, and some of the best pizza I’ve had period. It’s true gourmet pizza, so it’s not the kind of thing you order for a big party of people. This is the kind of pizza you sit and enjoy for its own sake. The sourdough crust is alone is worth it, I could eat that on its own with some olive oil and salt and be happy.

Best pizza in Cleveland, they don’t take shortcuts and it pays off. From the homemade dough (from their own sourdough starter) to the sauce, each ingredient, and the oven… there is no need to add a bunch of toppings to distract from a mediocre base. You know a pizza is well made when nothing overpowers, and you get the perfect balance of pillow like crust, allow the sweetness of the tomatoes to come out in the sauce and add in the cheese and basil to make the perfect pizza.

The pizza was good, but the service is not great at all. It takes close to ONE HOUR to get the pizza ? Big oven in the back so it doesn’t make sense.

Came here with my friends, and we were definitely not disappointed! It’s a bit pricey, but the food was fantastic, and we definitely got our money’s worth. Pictured are the pizzas: Margherita DOP, Milk n Honey, and Salumi. The appetizer is the Buffalo Mozzarella & Prosciutto di Parma. The dessert is the affogato gelato “drowned” in espresso. If you’re in the mood for Italian and have a bit of money to spend, this place is a great stop!

Anyone giving vero less than 5 stars has no idea what good pizza is. Do they run out of dough? Sure. Do you sometimes have to wait a long while? Yes. But it’s about the quality and it’s totally worth it! If you want pizza in 5 minutes, go to a big chain. If you want some of the best pizza in the world, go to vero.

If I was the owner of this establishment, I would want to know how my employees are running it.

I reviewed about 3 years ago but I’m updating now. On Friday, I went to Vero and the pizza was not sliced. The server brought scissors to the table and my friend and I had to cut the pizza ourselves with scissors. I was informed that this was something Vero started on 6/29/23. I really hope they switch to slicing the pizza for their guests or at least having the server slice it with scissors in front of us. That’s the only thing that upset me. I miss the purple potato pizza so much. A lot of the pizzas now look the exact same on the menu. I understand the pandemic impacted a lot, but it’s time to switch it up. (Here’s where my review from 3 years ago starts, pre-pandemic).

Highly recommend. Crust is light, nicely puffy and chewy, the right amount of char.

My group ordered 5 pizzas right at opening, 2nd order taken overall (take out or dine in) as far as we could tell. We asked if dining in vs takeout would take any longer to be made…They said no, so we hung out in the bar next door. They said the the oven hadn’t been warmed up prior to open so it’d be an hour until ready. Welllll after an hour we checked and they said 15 minutes, after another 10 minutes, oh were busy give us 10 more minutes, 3 times no pizza, just excuses. Finally after getting frustrated I went over at 6:45 and said is pizza even in oven??. No they said, and I made a little fuss that some other customers seemed to notice. At this point I think they finally started making our order and we got it around 7pm. As far as quality, we felt it was fairly underdone vs previous experience of our group member. After this poor experience, we suggest you skip Vero and just go to a major chain for better value, and avoid the potential frustration & rushed product at end of the day. Two stars vs one only because they did bring our pizzas over to the neighboring bar after they were finally completed (though undercooked as mentioned earlier). I’ve had MUCH better experiences, though still pricey, at my local popular pizza place in Tremont (Edison’s).
