Social Profile:

The Valley’s best Chicago deep-dish has come to San Tan Valley. The concept’s fourth East Valley pizzeria is taking over the former Ironwood Pub & Grill on the northeast corner of Ironwood and Ocotillo. Vero (formerly Buddyz) made its Arizona debut in Queen Creek in 2013, leading a parade of well-known Windy City pizzerias – including Lou Malnati’s, Gino’s East, and Giordano’s – into the Valley. Vero has been the most successful, adding busy locations in Gilbert in 2021 and Ahwatukee in 2017. The menu offers 18 “landmark” pizzas name-checking Chicagoland attractions, such as the Sears Tower, Daley Plaza, Dearborn Station, Rush Street, and Soldier Field. Pizzas come in three styles: thin crust, butter

This is my Grandparents’ and I’s favorite pizza joint. You will NEVER regret it. We usually get the Sears tower with extra cheese and it’s so good. I’ve had the deep dish which is good too, but very thick and heavy, lots of cheese and sauce, so be ready for that. Caesar and vero house salads are MUST HAVE, but would recommend asking for the dressing on the side if you want a big Caesar person, because it’s laid on heavy. Beer and drinks are good, Tvs for the game; Good place for lunch or dinner with friends. The bar is nice too, lots on tap and the bartenders are very sweet. Highly recommend making a stop in!

Disclaimer: We had our food delivered

I’m born and raised in Chicago. I was craving Lou Malnati’s but it was too far. Vero’s deep dish pizza was delicious and satisfied my craving! My husband ordered Pizza Fita bites, and those were gross. The food was delivered presumably 15 minutes after it was ready, but the oil drenched the food so bad that our fried food arrived soggy.

We probably shouldn’t have given this place. Another chance after how badly our dine in experience was the previous time we ate here. That time we received our pizza that had different toppings on each side and it was cut in squares at the wrong angle so there were quite a few pieces that had both toppings on them that didn’t get eaten. Also, our six-year-old daughter’s meal, which was a chicken nugget kids meal came 22 minutes after we received our pizza and only after we patiently waited for about five minutes before saying anything to our server.

Last night we ordered two pizzas for carry out and when I got to the restaurant and paid, the young lady, completing the transaction gave me back the wrong change (too little). I gave the cash back to her, pointed out her error and told her the correct amount of change I should have received. The total on my order was $23.23. I gave her $30.25 she initially had given me $6.75 in change and I told her that was incorrect and the change should have been $7.02. She closed the cash register and stared at it for a few moments and looked at me like I was trying to pull something with her. I was aggravated at this point and I told her I know I am right and I am not trying to rip you off or do anything shady, this is a simple math problem. She then reluctantly gave me the $7.02 change back and I Looked at the receipt and realized what her issue was. When she typed in the amount I gave her she typed in $30 even instead of $30.25, I showed her and explained it to her because she was still acting like she gave me the correct change when she gave me the $6.75. I gave up, told her to have a nice night and left.

The pizza was hot and good, but we did have an issue with the green olive one. Last night, my two kids were complaining about random burnt spots on their pizza and it tasting gross. They then said when they pick the burnt pieces off, it didn’t taste bad, so I assumed they were being picky and didn’t pay attention to it until tonight when reheating it for dinner. I figured out why it tasted burnt, it looks like the pizza was stuck in the oven, it was all crinkled up on one end and burnt pretty badly. I’ve added pictures below.

It was just a really disappointing experience, especially after we were giving them a second chance. I wouldn’t highly recommend recommend visiting this location.

2 weeks ago, we decided to try a new pizza spot, we were supposed to just get a pizza, but I came hungry So, we got sl2 sets of wings, garlic bread, cheese curds, salad, penned pasta, beef sandwich with beef dip, and thin crust pizza. ALL OF IT WAS PERFECT . A few days ago, we decided to come back and got all the same appetizers and a deep dish pizza. The sauce, cheese, and crust are super flavorful. The cheese curds are the best I’ve had. The wings are super juicy and crispy with a tangy Buffalo sauce. We are hooked. This will be a regular stop for us from now on.

Hang out night with some foodie friends and boy were we in for a treat. First off their dough and sauce are made from scratch daily. The atmosphere is laid back, family friendly and offering some great eats. My 10 year old couldn’t believe they have crafted boba lemonade drinks. Fun for the kiddos. We enjoyed a few different style pizzas from thin crust to deep dish and butter crust. As well as a calzone. A variety of wings and some amazing fried pizza dough bites with marinara sauce.
Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable of the menu and assisting in great recommendations for us to enjoy. I wish we had room for the Italian beef sandwich but will save that for our next visit.

Best place around to get a thin crust pizza especially if you are from Chicago. This is our favorite place to get our pizza from. When we have family in town we order from here and everyone raves about how good it is and we are from Chicago. Service is always good and orders have always been perfect.

Our server, Brittney, was absolutely incredible! We had a large party and luckily no issues with being sat. Initially we were sat for 6 when we had 8. When asked about snagging another table, it was in someone else’s section and she was ok with allowing us to snag her table.

I grabbed their pasta dish and asked her how it was. She told us how she eats it and OMG it was delicious. I definitely overate lol.

We had such a good time I boasted how great she is to her leader. She was just as amazing as Brittney.

We will definitely be going back and making sure to request Brittney every time.

WOW! The pizza was to die for! The calamari was perfect. They had a new Huss pineapple brew on tap that we had and loved and we aren’t even beer drinkers. The only bummer was they didn’t have the tequila I wanted. I will never eat another pizza from anywhere else. My husband got the butter crust and it was amazing. I got the cauliflower crust and it was buttery and so good. I can’t say enough, you HAVE to try this place.
