Stood at the door for a few minutes, was never greeted. So we sat at the bar, waited another few minutes before being noticed. Prices seemed a little high on the menu. Ordered an appetizer and a side salad. The salad was great! The appetizer took awhile to come out and it was burnt. The waitress noticed immediately and fixed the issue.

Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. Have tried almost everything on the menu. Can’t ask for a better home town restaurant not to mention Shawna really goes out of her way to do great things for the community.

Was excited to try this restaurant as I I like to try new-to-me non chain places. Maybe I overhyped it in my head because I was….disappointed. I got to go The Double Delight. No one asked how the steak was to be done but that’s no big deal as I’m not a stickler about that, however burnt isn’t usually an option most folks would choose. I don’t want carcinogenic meat, thanks. It shouldn’t *clink* hitting the plate. I had 2 sides so I chose the only semi low carb/non fried options of green beans and grilled veggies. It was a nice lovely heap of California Blend veggies but they were very greasy/oily. The green beans I gave away. The container was literally filled to the top with bacon grease. I don’t eat nitrates so those were ruined for me and frankly I find it a bit presumptious if it rude to include meat in a vegetable side dish without stating explicitly in the menu. I’m not a vegetarian but that’s not cool for those who are thinking they’re getting a safe side option just to be surprised with meat product. (Not to mention those who don’t eat pork or like me, wish to avoid nitrates). Again, fine if you want to have that, but list it as such for those ordering (esp. to go). And, this was all a whopping $24 pre-tax. Yeah, no. It shouldn’t have been called Double Delight. More like Double Pain In The Rear trying to mop up all the oil and cut off the blackened chunks of meat and salvage the green beans only to give up after wasting several gallons of water cleaning up a cup of grease everywhere. Hey, I’d try them again (if someone else was paying, haha!) and I was dining in so I could ask questions and say please no oils and learn how to drain a pan of grease. If I wanted to drink a cup of vegetable oil I could do that on my own time for much less, thanks.
