This dinner ended up being, far and away, the best of our recent Paris visit. We were warmly welcomed, and the service was consistently attentive and accommodating. One of us required a vegan menu and the rest had the standard tasting menu. The dishes were extraordinary: There was obvious effort put into creating as elevated a plant-based dish as the classic menu. Prior to our arrival, several different friends (both Parisian and American) recommended we eat here, and I can now see why. We are looking forward to returning very soon.

The meal we had at this charming little restaurant was one of the most memorable of our 6-week vacation! Each course was delightful and delicious. Service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s truly a stand out and we both felt it should be considered for a Michelin star. It was that good!

Verjus is one of those hidden gems you dream about discovering in Paris. If you’re not looking for it, you might walk right past — it’s tucked away on a quiet side street near the Jardin du Palais Royal. My wife and I went to Paris this spring to celebrate our ten-year wedding anniversary, and while we dined at plenty of great places, this meal stood out as something truly magical.
The restaurant itself is small and intimate — just a handful of tables, spaced close enough to feel cozy but not cramped. The staff is tiny too (maybe two servers total), but they were warm, attentive, and efficient. Our server spoke solid English (which was a relief given our terrible French) and explained each dish clearly.
We booked late and ended up with the earliest reservation of the night. For the first 15–20 minutes, we had the place to ourselves, which felt almost too quiet, but as other tables slowly filled in, the vibe turned warm and lively. My guess is they stagger the reservations to keep the flow manageable for the small team — and it works. We were completely satisfied with the service.
Now, the food. Wow. This was one of the best meals we had in Paris — maybe one of the top meals I’ve ever had. The menu is set, so you won’t be picking from a list, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It is clear that they chef has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into curating the meal. Each course was beautifully plated and thoughtfully composed, with a strong seasonal and farm-to-table feel (see my non-Instagram worthy pictures). The flavors were elegant but not over-complicated—a balanced approach to the typical high-end tasting menu.
They do say they can accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions, though we didn’t test that out. And while the experience isn’t cheap, it’s very fairly priced compared to other tasting menus of this caliber in Paris. Definitely spring for the wine pairing — it elevated the meal even more.
In short: if you’re in Paris and want a special dining experience make time for Verjus. But unlike us, try to book well in advanced. However, it you can’t get in there is a cozy bar in the basement.

A very pleasant dinner. All the courses were good, but the fish was fantastic. The combinations of flavours worked really well. Service was friendly. Its a bit dark in the restaurant.

Verjus was an incredibly special date night on my honeymoon last month. The service is incredible and so is the food! My husband and I both truly enjoyed our meal and the thoughtful service that went along with it. The music was also great!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Every dish was exquisite. I especially loved the tomatoes tonight. The menu changes all the time so I’m excited to come back again and again. A perfect place to celebrate. It was my birthday along with guests at two other tables so I guess everyone had the same idea. The wine pairing was just right. The herbs are grown at their own farm outside of Paris. The service is terrific. The small space is adorable. They did a great renovation. The location on the Palais royal is wonderful. I love everything about Verjus.

Artfully prepared, delicious tasting menu! So well thought-out and prepared. The service was friendly, informative, and efficient. We don’t know French and they kindly accommodated us in English. The ambiance is very sweet and quaint. Not too busy with reservation system. Highly recommend!

A different type of service but amazing on all fronts. You will start off with some champagne in the front and then walk upstairs to the communal dining room. I am not the most adventurous eater but I tried everything and it was all amazing. Each had its own wine pairing and all of the dishes were well explained and sourced locally. You will sit with other groups but we made great friends with the people across from us. Fish, beef, dessert were all fantastic. The experience took a few hours but they were spent with smiles.

This was one of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed in my life.

Restaurant is quaint and charming. The servers were all so friendly and polite. They took time to speak to us about both the food, and our Paris experience.

We paired our courses with wine, and all three complimented the food beautifully. Doing so is pricey, but if you want to have a fabulous dining experience and have a meal you will always remember, then I can’t recommend the restaurant enough
