Inside the restaurant, you can enjoy an intimate meal with a loved one, or a group of family and friends. Outside, we’ve designed the covered patio and open area to cater to families, creating an environment with an amphitheater setting and a large green grass area designed specifically for play. With plenty of footballs and frisbees to toss, this area is an environment where kids can play to their heart’s content, and adults can either join them or sit back and enjoy a cocktail on the patio while they wait for their meal to be served. The best of both worlds!

Mexican grill fare is served in a warm, lodgelike setting with a covered patio & a live-music venue.

The bacon wrapped quail and the chicken enchiladas were excellent! The salsa was a little salty for me. Connor was an excellent server! Good happy hour prices on apps. Good outdoor seating.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The food was terrible and lacked flavor, and the service was just as bad. We even asked to speak with the manager, but the situation did not improve at all. Overall, nothing was handled properly, and I would not return to this restaurant.

I’m passing by from Houston and I stopped here just because I was hungry! But wow! The steak is so delicious! The rice also! Good portions and honestly delicious salsa for the chips.

We had a wonderful experience at Verde’s Mexican Restaurant. I don’t leave many reviews but felt compelled to because we all had such a good experience.

I ordered the Carne Asada – steak, served with a rich mushroom sauce that was especially delicious. It paired perfectly with the draft hazy IPA.

Our server, Connor, was very attentive and made sure everything came out promptly and smoothly.

Everyone at the table really enjoyed their meals. The decor adds a lot to the experience. The restaurant features interesting, seemingly original artwork that gives it a unique feel. Combined with the pleasant ambience, it made for an excellent evening.

Highly recommend for both the food and the atmosphere.

Chipotle honey double boned pork chop is delicious and my new favorite dish! Sweet potatoes are a great flavor and texture to complement the pork chop. Green beans are good but a little on the cold side. Excited to go back.

This review is long overdue. We are local to the area and LOVE coming to dine at Verde’s. Food never disappoints, I love that their menu has options like Pork Chops, Steaks or even Bacon Wrapped Quail. Everything you order is tasty and well presented. Service was really good too, very friendly and attentive. I would give them more stars if I could.

Nice decor and friendly, prompt service though at close to 1pm it wasn’t crowded. The margaritas were okay. The food was plentiful and tasty though not over the top. Those looking for vegetarian options will find many. Nice area outside is you were there with kids. We’d likely go again if in the area.

Stopped by Verde’s for dinner this past Saturday. We decided to dine at the bar, as the STL Cardinals game was just starting on the TV behind the bar!!! Met Brandon working behind the bar, who turned out to be one of the owners, and originally from my home state of MO, and also a HUGE Cardinals fan! His Cardinals baseball cap was a giveaway! LOL It felt like it was going to be a good night… and it was!

We started with complimentary chips and salsa, which was delicious: super crispy corn tortilla chips, lightly salted, and a very fresh, salsa with just the right amount of heat. We ordered a couple of appetizers, the ceviche and the calabaza cakes. The ceviche was super fresh, and the fried flour tortilla chips served alongside made a good pairing. The liquid wasabi drizzled beneath the chips was a bit of a surprise, but, alongside the mango drizzle, it was good. The calabaza cakes are spaghetti squash and stewed chicken atop a poblano cream sauce. A tasty and delicious combination, and the cream sauce was sublime!

For entrees, we enjoyed the fish tacos and shrimp moho dishes. The ingredients in both dishes were super fresh, freshly prepared, and seasonings were on point. Simply put, both entrées were outstanding! We tried several margaritas during our meal, and we would have to say that the Skinny Holly was our favorite. We were too full to even think about dessert, so we will have to save that for next time.

Ending the evening on an incredibly high note, Brandon allowed us to take an empty bottle of one of our favorite tequilas served at the restaurant, Clase Azul Reposado. Excellent tequila, in a hand-painted pottery bottle. I can also vouch for the Verde’s grilling seasoning sold at the bar. I used it the following night at home, and it is outstanding… Great people, great food! We’ll definitely be back!!!

I do need to apologize for some of the photos included with this review; as noted above, there was a Cardinals’ baseball game on, so I did not get pictures of some of the dishes until they were partially eaten! LOL

Update December 2023

Verde’s delivers quality Tex-Mex food. Another good meal enjoyed recently… the complimentary chips and salsa are da bomb! Light crisp chips, and the salsa tastes like it just came out of the garden… super fresh ingredients! We had a couple of the “Lime in the Coconut” cocktails, reminiscent of a pina colada, but better, and not too sweet. Very good. For food, we settled on the pollo flautas (chicken flautas) and the fish tacos. Both were very good, and the flautas were some of the best we’ve ever had. The tacos were stuffed full of fish and fresh veggies. We sat at the bar this visit, and the bartender was super-busy, so not much time to visit. Recommend Verde’s for good Tex-Mex in the Dripping Springs area.

I’m new to Austin. I’ve been told by multiple people that I’ve got to eat at Verde’s, “it’s the best” they say. Yeah, it’s definitely not the best. The food was good, not great. We had fajitas, for $25 you got a small chicken breast on top of grilled onions and bell peppers and half a plate of street corn. Same set up on the steak fajitas. The flavor on both were good, chicken was tender and moist—which is good! The chips and salsa were below average—chips looked and tasted store bought. Salsa was salty—and you’re reading a post from a guy that likes his salt! Service was average and they weren’t very busy. I’m sure I’ll be back, but it won’t be my first choice.

Fine TexMex place. Didn’t like some of the sides that came with the steak but the steak was good. The enchiladas were a little dry. Good price mostly, but queso and quac were over 10 bucks for small bowls. Have a big outdoor space for kids, but not anything special in terms of anything else.
