I don’t know what I got. I just wanted to try tofu- and I wanted it done right. The cashier was sooo kind and explained it thoroughly. Gave me options and their personal experience. (Luckily no one was behind me, and I could do research.) I have nothing to compare this too, except to say the food was fresh and delicious. I am a huge meat eater who is grossed out by eating something that had a face. So, there’s that. Very positive experience.

Wow! This food was excellent here! I know they talk about the chicken salad (great in a wrap) that was good, but have you tried the beet salad?!? Or the tofu wrap?!? Those were so delicious! We took our food to go and it was perfect for a trip/ picnic to a lighthouse.

Recent move to SoPo from Dallas TX..looking for local coffee/lunch spot (organic nature), etc….found just the spot at Verbena. Superb staff and quality of coffee/food and treats. Along with they work/support local CSA farm co-op as pickup site. So highly recommend.

Verbena’s food and service is so amazing. I’ve eaten in the restaurant and Verbena did the catering for my wedding. The owner Melissa goes way above and beyond with helping and coordinating. Her attention to detail is fantastic, I have so many great things to say about our experiance. My wedding would have not happened with out Verbena and Melissa! We had vegetarians and gluten free guest and Verbena met all of our needs and our guest needs, but also looked and tasted fantastic. High quality food with a lot of taste! Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich in South Portland and highly recommend them for catering any event. Suburb all around!!!

Hidden gem for lunchtime sandwiches and salads. I got the flattop chicken sandwich, which was notable in that it was precisely constructed with just the right amount of each ingredient. Cashier/barista’s customer service skills were exceptional.

I had bad experience for the first time
I ordered sandwich for my daughter and I mentioned not putting anything spicy , we got spicy sandwich with completely burned black bread on top of sandwich the person in cashier try to fix it and make us happy Wich is respectfull but it has been late and roind our time and my daughter feeling mistake is for everyone but they should’ve serve like that. As you said you offered mayonez I accept but they didn’t put aside also chicken was spicy . I’m right to write feedback as same as many other people written. You can’t blame customer for that .also as you mentioned the spot of burned was the size of half dollar ok the whole sandwich was the size of dollar and all over top was burned completely
