Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! Cocktails are creative and well balanced — we had the Three Dollar Bill and the MUSTAAAAARD (which should not work, but does). For food we got the shrimp and broccoli rabe flatbread special, the meatballs with polenta, the garlic cheese bread, and for dessert the tiramisu. Everything was fantastic. Probably one of the best tiramisus I’ve ever had. This worked out to about $40/person. We will definitely be back!

This place… Mama Mia!! This is an awesome cocktail bar with an Italian flare and modern entertainment. They have a seasonal menu, so my husband Michael and I weren’t able to order what we were craving since the last time we were here (a little over four months ago; we live in South Bend, Indiana); however, their current menu didn’t fail to impress. The Chicken Piccata was delightful and mouthwatering, while their signature drinks definitely wet our proverbial whistles. We ended our experience with their great canoli coffee, and tea. And the service… Jason and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming and put smiles on our faces. If you’re in the Somerville area, this is a must dine. We strongly recommend it.

We had an outstanding experience hosting a private graduation party at Vera’s! We worked with Meghan, who responded to us promptly and provided a clear outline of costs, which we thought were very fair. The appetizer and dessert platters were delicious, fresh, and plentiful, easily feeding our group of 50. The bar crew was outstanding and very attentive. The venue provides everything you need to play your own music playlist, but we also had DJ L’Duke play the last hour—she was wonderful and was scheduled to play there later that evening. At the end of the night, the staff thoughtfully packed up the extra food in neatly labeled boxes. Many of our guests stayed well after the party ended, enjoying the lounge once it opened to the public. If you’re looking for a place to host your next gathering, look no further than Vera’s!

BAD dj 🙁 My friends and I went on 90’s night and the DJ was awful. The transitions were super choppy with a lot of air horn sounds. He played a weird remix of Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan, then the music was pretty dull. I went up to request a song but he yelled at me that it wasn’t from the 90’s (it was early 2000’s) and shoo’ed me away. It wasn’t just me either. Another girl came up and tried to request a song and he did the same thing. A friend checked in on me after because he saw how rude the DJ was from across the dance floor. I think the dj said his name as DJ panda? anyway, avoid if he’s dj-ing. we left after he yelled at me. Drinks and bartenders are cool though!

It’s a chic underground bar in the heart of Somerville. It’s Speak Easy vibes are matched with its great prices affordable apps and great atmosphere. In the front it’s a cozy bar with side tables to sit for more comfortable eating. In the back is a spacious Lounge area with table games on one side lounge chairs on another a bar and a little open space to dance. This may not be the venue if you’re looking for a huge dance floor, but if you’re looking for Great Dance Vibes it’s definitely the right space.

I had an enjoyable meal and cocktails at Vera’s. The arancini was awesome – definitely recommend. We also had the chicken parm sandwich (good, not great), the butternut squash ricotta ravioli (delicious), and a caesar salad (it was pretty basic and not worth $13 in hindsight). The cocktails were lovely. Service was okay though; it took 20 minutes to receive cocktails after ordering even though it wasn’t very busy and we had to flag the server down after a while to put in a food order. Maybe they were busier than it appeared. I would recommend Vera’s to others because overall the food and drinks were great and the lounge atmosphere was fun and intimate.

Vera’s was one of the highlights of our trip to Boston visiting friends. It was decked out for Christmas which made the entire atmosphere cozy and festive. The bar service was exceptional with great recommendations and conversation. The drinks themselves were delicious, and the bourbon selection (and rum!) much better than expected. Next time I’m in Boston, we will be back!

You kidding me? Best place around. My only complaint is that Eric, the bartender, was having the best night of anyone I’ve ever seen in my life. And he was “working”. I only wish I could achieve that level of greatness.
