Vera’s was one of the highlights of our trip to Boston visiting friends. It was decked out for Christmas which made the entire atmosphere cozy and festive. The bar service was exceptional with great recommendations and conversation. The drinks themselves were delicious, and the bourbon selection (and rum!) much better than expected. Next time I’m in Boston, we will be back!

We tried this place for the first time and I was a bit disappointed. Staff were excellent, kind, and present. The restaurant vibe was clean, and it had lovely lighting. Food was okay. We got the calamari, the loaded fries, and split a broccolini pasta. The pasta was really bland – I’m glad we split it as opposed to getting one each. Definitely not worth $17.

Vera’s is the best neighborhood bar!! My husband and I decided not to have a traditional wedding and so we rented out the back room of Vera’s for a bar party to celebrate our marriage and it was literally the most fun and a lot of that was thanks to the people at Vera’s. Meghan the manager was a literal angel. She met with us multiple times to make sure all the details were exactly as we wanted. During the night she checked in on us and made sure everything was going smoothly. She helped us with the decorations and even getting everything together at the end of the night. Chef Wes knocked it out of the park with the late night food – people were texting us the next day saying that the mozzarella sticks were the best they’ve ever had. The food was so amazing even with it being simple – sliders, fries, mozz sticks. Chef Wes even made some special desserts specifically for me since I have dietary restrictions. The bartenders were also the sweetest people in the world to all of our guests – seriously so many of our friends made comments about how nice everyone was there and how special they treated us. The bartenders continuously checked in on me & my husband to make sure we were getting the bride & groom treatment! We were thinking of doing a specialty cocktail, but decided not to because all of the cocktails at Vera’s are already so good – everyone was complimenting the drinks. 1000x better than what you would be getting at a traditional wedding banquet hall open bar. The vibe was also PERFECT! People got to sit and talk at the tables and play shuffle board, but also enough room for there to still be plenty of dancing! Meghan also turned on the disco ball & bubble machine during all the right songs which added a special extra touch. We genuinely had the most fun night of our lives there and we really give so much credit to the people of Vera’s. They were welcoming and genuinely so excited to host us that it made the night so special! We love them and are so happy to live close so we can go back whenever! Absolutely recommend renting out the backroom for any occasion, but also just going to the bar for a normal night. They’re the best people there!

It’s a fun place. The booths are intimate and far apart that it doesn’t feel too crowded… and the lounge in the back with the games is very relaxing. You can sit on a couch with friends or stand and chat… or you can play games.. the food is really good. And the bathroom floors are very clean!

Place is very trendy and a cool spot for a cocktail. Food is just not good. Got the pasta special and the sauce was so bland and watery. Tuna tartare had one piece of tuna and is served with olives capers and celery which is unusual. Only thing that was good was the breadsticks. Save your money

redoing my review since it got suppressed for weeks. long story short, they allow creepy men in. most of the people are fine, but i dont appreciate how every time i go, there’s the same creepy guys either trying to talk to me while im with my boyfriend, or im being recorded while in the club. really sad they let these people in, bc i really liked the place. anyway, i hope this review doesn’t get removed like my last one.

The three stars in this review are for the cocktail, which was perfectly balanced and delicious and the service, which was kind and kept us up to date. However, I would not come here for the food. I got the chicken wings which admittedly did say they included honey but they were down right sweet. My partner ordered pasta carbonara and the pancetta was over cooked, the pasta and sauce were gooped together and it was way too salty. The best food item was the charred broccoli rabe. Not charred but did have good flavor. This was my first time here so not sure if there are new folks in the kitchen but the food also took a really long time to come out. The ambience in this place is great though, so I would recommend for a drink.
