The sadness of admitting defeat was new to me but the House XL Pho taught me humility and the importance of moderation. This gem made us happy with their amazing service and honest fulfilling food. Definitely going back and definitely going to order a large. Well played House XL, well played indeed!

I’ve had better Vietnamese food. We got a few things and they were all pretty basic and boring. Low on flavor and far from exotic. Not “bad” but definitely the minimum possible to qualify. The menu is also pretty sparse when you consider that almost everything is the same except for various combinations of a few types of protein. If this place can step up then I’ll consider going back, but I can’t recommend Veranda Noodle Bar.

Service was quick. The food was also very good and reasonably priced. They put a lot of meat in my pho which was great. It got quiet busy in the evening and they need an extra helper. The lady was running around like crazy.

Pretty good Vietnamese food, with several Chinese items on the menu, as well. Our bowl of pho was enormous, with plenty of basil, sprouts, etc. on the side. Chow fun was pretty good, with a lot of pork. Crispy noodles were okay, with maybe too much corn starch in the sauce, but my daughter liked them. Prices very reasonable, service was prompt, and the window seating has a nice street view.

Vicky was a great server, she went out of her way to make a sweet tea for me and I think it’s the best I’ve ever had, I appreciated that. It was steady paced and volume was normal, I was able to read a book while I wait for my food, which I noticed a few others were doing too…nice spot for one or 8. The food was good and large portions…I got the beef rice dinner & shrimp tempura appetizer. First time coming here and I will definitely be back!

We were lead by the only waitress pass a nice window table to a table under the air conditioner. We moved ourselves to the next table away from the cold air. Then the waitress led the next couple to the window table she walked pass with us. We waited about ten minutes then the waitress took the orders of the couple who came in after us, so we promptly walked out. The ceiling tiles were stained and the walls needed patching. It was a rotten experience. We went to Benkey next and had a nice experience.

My foodie friend took me here because it’s his favorite place to eat in the entire world. I’ve traveled quite a few places, and have had a extensive amount of great, good, and ok food on my palette…so he was interested to see what I thought.

Food was great. Hearing new staff be rude to old staff was inappropriate of the new staff! Take it out back! Lady (blonde haired Caucasian name is Vicky) you truly sound like a whole toxic mess! Cambodian lady, didn’t catch her name though was very very sweet!!!

We have been to this place many times over this last year. Worth the half hour drive from home. Last Wednesday (February 1 23) not so much. First we are told the liquor license had expired (?), Then told only water was available. The food was subpar at best. That’s an understatement. And the next morning both the wife and I were violently sick. I hate to say that we will never return again, but that’s my feeling now. I’m disappointed that I’ve told other people how great a place this is or was. I am not going to dismiss this as just a “bad” day for them not when we were that sick the next day.
