Veranda Kitchen & Bar is the newest member of Veranda’s family. Veranda Thai Cuisine based out of Portland opened up over a decade ago, serving mainly Thai Food. Veranda Noodle Bar, sister restaurant located directly across the street, served mainly Vietnamese Food. Veranda Noodle House based downtown Portland, is the best of both world, serving both Thai & Vietnamese Food. Veranda Kitchen & Bar opened for business over a year ago, based in lovely town of Westbrook, served both Thai & Vietnamese Food. Vietnamese & Thai Food makes extensive use of fresh herbs, spices, and aromatics. The herbs are used in steamy pot of pho, pronounced fuh, sometimes wrapped into spring rolls, and sometimes in the refreshing Bun-Vermicelli Noodle Salad.

Horrible food for me. I ordered the Orange Chicken and it was so dry I couldn’t cut it. When I did it had bones in it ! I showed the waitress and said not very appetizing. She agreed . I was given a bill for the whole dinner that I did not eat. I didn’t argue because I was with a group of people and most of them had good orders

Veranda Kitchen serves some of the best pho I’ve ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful, with fresh, crisp vegetables that make every bite a delight. If you’re craving authentic, soul-warming pho, this is the place to be!

Crab rangoon 10/10! Very flavorful and crispy.
Pho was a little bland today 06/15/25, but overall very good proportions. 60/40 protein/carb.
Does not have a lot of tripe which i personally like but perfectly fine in general for the average consumer.
Also very well priced!!!

My favorite Thai food in Maine — love the Yum Nua salad, the Tom Kha soup, and the Pho. I go everytime my mom is in town, and even though I live out of town, I try to get take-out a few times a year.

Unexpected delight on a detour into Westbrook. Delicious Thai Food delivered all my favorite F’s: fresh, fragrant, flavorful and fast. Friendly service and clean too. Try the Panang Duck. Succulent. We’ll be back!

They’ve repeatedly gotten the spice level wrong for my takeout orders. Their website doesn’t clearly explain the spice scale (1-5), so I ordered a level 1 and added a note requesting very low spice. Twice now, it’s come out medium-hot and completely inedible. The owner has refused to correct or fix the order, which is very disappointing.
Cannot recommend anymore as I can’t rate the pad Thai as I can NOT eat it!

So I recently visited this establishment and I ordered a Pho with meatballs when they brought out the vegetables the bean sprouts were like yellow and wet and not wet meaning they’ve been clean wet meaning they were like bad and so I share that with them and I also ordered a fresh spring roll and when it was cut in half and I saw the bean sprouts in that and those were basically brown and black, they definitely turned me off enough, not to eat it. I would tell you that this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant Not to mention the service was terrible. There was a young woman there that didn’t speak very good English, which is fine. I get that piece of it, and I could sympathize with her, but nobody came out at all to help her, and it was very much struggling to the point where she handed me this handheld Device and asked me if I what I wanted I commend her for doing what she did to try to provide great service I sat there for 20 minutes to eat what I felt was safe to eat not to be asked one time how things were do you need anything else? Would you like something else to drink because I was given water up, but I was hoping to have a nice cold soda, but when I tried to explain that to the woman, she didn’t understand it so I just said forget it, but anyway it was Terrible and to give it a three I’m being very generous
